Terrible take.

UNC didn't look good last year either. They got hot in the tourney and got to the Nat'l championship.

College basketball is all about who plays the best towards the end of the season and March Madness.

Yeah, UNC was not worthy of a bid last year, IMO. Especially with the ACC looking so insanely weak in the regular season.

Then the tourney comes and all the ACC teams go on a tear.

I don't doubt it. UNC was a lot more careful than the Caliparis of the world but those kids were definitely getting kickbacks from boosters, favors around town, etc.

Yeah, Carolina steered clear of the guys who were just blatantly trying to go to the highest bidder in their forced pit stop along the way to the NBA once the NBA no longer allowed kids to jump straight from HS.

That’s lol funny

Poor state fans.

Every time I almost feel sorry for them I'm reminded of what colossal jackasses they are unworthy of the slightest sympathy.

I’ve got 2 degrees from state.   And you?

also how is Tami Hansborough, joe forte, Harrison Barnes etc exactly staying away from the highest bidder?  To think unc is somehow above the corruption of college sports is fuging hilarious

Get over the inferiority complex. It's always y'all who try to start the pissing match. No one was taking shots at state in this thread. Because state is irrelevant and no one cares. Deal with it.

No one was taking shots at state fans.  Got it.   Remind me again the year you graduated from unc?

and are you denying that Tami and Wanda Hightower didn’t get jobs because their kids played for unc?   Everyone is dirty don’t act like unc is some poster child of integrity

What's the issue?

College students now get paid. They should have been getting paid. If you want the best of the best you gotta pay. NCAA has been screwing student athletes for decades. It's now the students turn to make profit.

Get that money college athletes!

Yep

    • Cutting edge analysis below https://www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jeremiah-s-top-50-2025-nfl-draft-prospect-rankings-4-0 You gotta remember, Daniel Jeremiah talks to the scouts and GMs..... Notable highlights: #1 Abdul Carter (Edge) #2 Travis Hunter (WR/CB) #3 Ashton Jeanty (RB) #4 Mason Graham (DT) #5:  Jalon Walker (LB) #6 Tyler Warren (TE) #7  Coltson Loveland (TE) #15 Nick Emannwori (S) #22 Mykel Williams (Edge) #32 Mason Taylor (TE--3 TEs in round 1????) WR rankings (oh my!!  This is going to piss some folks off--I don't think a slot WR--Egbuka--should be in the middle of round 1, personally) #16 Matthew Golden (told ya this a month ago!!--you mocked me, some scoffed) #17  Emeka Egbuka (the sleeper we have not talked about enough!) #18  Tetairoa McMillan (according to the NFL Network Path to the Draft Crew-Ross, Brooks, Charles-the comments may have hurt his stock among GMs--I do think it might be a bit overblown, but hey, he raised the red flag--nobody else.  I am sure he will explain his meaning to satisfy GMs) #33 Luther Burden III (he has dropped quite a bit) Noteable Edges NOT in top 50, which means they could be there in the second:  Jack Sawyer, Princely. and my super sleeper pick who could be there in round 3--Josaiah Stewart, Michigan. MHS PREDICTIONS: It sure looks like #5 Jalon Walker Edge will be the pick---Mykel Williams dropped to #22. Most of the players we draft on days 1 and 2 will have a first name that starts with the letter J.
    • I feel like all the guys i think they're going to take will be gone. Graham and walker plus Carter who has no chance. If that's the case I really hope someone wants to jump the saints and we can trade back. I would want Green if he didn't have the accusations
    • I think with walker you have a pretty stable and decent floor.   With some of the others the floor is lower but yeah the ceiling is the roof.   We just cant risk that as a franchise at this point
