It's just the way things happen.

Yeah, Cam's injuries weren't caused by lack of size. It was just two freak occurrences. Drew Brees didn't have his career ended by injury. Russell Wilson hasn't either. 

I get that the risk FEELS higher for little guys but I don't think the evidence backs up that assumption. A quality QB should be adept at feeling pressure and getting rid of the ball to limit hits. That goes for scrambling or running QB's too.

You don't want to draft a guy or sign a guy with a bad injury history, obviously. That is a bigger red flag than size. Wear and tear is very real. You also want to make sure you strive to protect the QB as much as possible. Which we didn't do for Cam and he got injured. But Kansas City invested a lot of resources into protecting Mahomes and he still ended up with a high ankle sprain this postseason.

A lot of this is just pure, dumb luck.

He is one of the least accurate first round picks in recent memory. 54.7% completion percentage is not something you see for an elite prospect very often. The only one I can think of that low recently was Kyle Boller(much lower, actually). 

Josh Allen was 56.2% but that is another "planning on an outlier" scenario. It is historically rare for QB's to have better accuracy in the NFL than they did in college.

Height and batted balls definitely dont have much correlation.  I believe Josh Allen led the league in batted balls this season.  How the oline blocks, play calling, and qb finding passing lanes makes much more difference than height.  Regardless of all that the answer to your question is yes.

Yea some it is unfair luck, just odds are against the smaller players. Tua is one more shot away form needing to retire. I dont think there is another smitty out there.....those small tough players are rare. I hate to admit, but both wilson and brees were driven. Drew came back form a career ender, he made it happen with hard work. Prime Wilson was covered in olive oil and he never took the full force on most of his hits. Thats a skill and he was elite at it, sorta like bradys footwork in the pocket.......elite and prevents hits. 

The deal is the NFL has been cracking on dirty hits and any hitting on QB, so theres more hope for the smaller QBs now. Im too set in my ways, still pass on young......

Joking aside, if you've watched McKee play he can barely move because he's so tall. Every off-platform throw for him is a struggle.

We need a WR.

Moore is very good, but he's not "consistently beat double coverage" good - hell sometimes he can't even beat single coverage.

Get a good #1 / #2 alongside him, push Marshall to #3 and suddenly you open up a whole raft of options offensively.

Sounds about right…if we go rookie QB I hope they go get a vet TE. I’ve never looked at the stats for it but it seems like rookie TEs are slower to make an impact and I remember how shockey and Olsen helped rookie Cam. Not one of the higher cost FA positions either
