The Do Over

I thought the refs putting their finger on the scale was most evident the last series each team had.   Non call on a KC roughing the passer.  Non call on the block in the back on the game winning punt return.  Non calls on the holding on the Mahomes run.

Head official ran the crew with the most flags all season.  Then in the end they kept them all in their pocket because it would have helped the Bengals.

The rules are clear. The actual circumstances that led to the rules being enforced were obvious and clear and clear as well. Both those instances were textbook examples of the correct calls being made. End of story. End of some fake controversy. Chiefs vs. Eagles. Move on!

I’ve turned off numerous games this year after terrible Roughing the Passing or “defensive holding” calls that strip any legitimacy away from the game I’m watching. I personally didn’t feel as if the calls made yesterday were that bad or nefarious but I wasn’t watching that closely (due to my general waning interest in the NFL. Time is a circle) I would argue that it doesn’t really matter if the NFL is rigged, or if the way the NFL handles officiating is so incompetent that the legitimacy of the game is in question. The result is the same. People with a keen eye or better things to do will eventually stop investing so much of their time on this product.

I just think some of you are Mahomes haters. That, and/or Burrow lovers.

Joe Montana is the original Joe Cool. There is no other. Burrow will get other opportunities. Didn't you hear him? The window will be open his entire career.

And for the conspiracy theorists, Mahomes will lose in the Super Bowl. The Eagles are the most complete team in football.

Big fan of both QBs. They're the two most fun to watch QBs in the league right now IMO.

The officiating was trash and slanted towards KC. It just was.

    • Easily. To be able to plug in a backup LT without much drop off from your starter? That could mean the difference between playoffs or sitting at home in January. Good/serviceable smart young and healthy LTs that won’t lose you a ball game at reasonable $$ don’t just come along every day. Everyone talks about the most important positions on a football team… backup LT is in the top 10.  Picture next year… the team is scrappy and competitive, 4 and 3 record, second place in the South. Morale is good. devastating run game that Let’s our marginal defense get plenty of rest. We play the Bucs and win, going to 5 and 3, but we lose Ickey to a high ankle sprain. Atl loses that week and are now at 5 and 3 as well. There is no Ickey and no BC because we let him go… and we go in to Atl the next week for a battle of first in the south. Week after that is the Jets…. Now they lose both by 10 and 3, respectively, and fall to 5 and 5 going in to their bye week. Atl is at 7 and 3. Out of typical Panthers desperation, they try to rush Ickey back in to the lineup with a saints game coming up…  Back to good old Panthers football, always playing catchup. Another season at .500 and the fans sadly rejoice in mediocrity, when playoffs were in reach. This team always overestimates its ability to pick up quality o line depth in the draft or FA and it always blows up in their faces. Like Chuba, I see him as being part of the core that Dan is trying to build. Work on his contract now and see if we can come out with something mutually beneficial. I’d consider 3 yrs at $25m to be very fair.
    • it would be great to have "double trouble" again, I even had a T- shirt for Williams and Stewart and the double trouble logo, was a great time to be Panthers fan. We shall see...
    • Sounds like a plan. Those are the teams we should be mimicking! lol
