3-4 Defense?

It's never truly the off season,  until the traditional,  annual, switch to a 3-4 defense!!! Lol

Run a 3-4??? With what LBs and what NT??? Hell, I'm not even sure we have 3-4 DEs that can stop the run.

I think we have maybe 2 people that would be better in a 3-4 defense - Burns and Haynes

4-3 or 3-4, it doesn't really matter that much. I've seen plenty of 4-3 over/under formations this past season with Luvu lined up as the passrusher opposite Burns, essentially making it a 3-4 in certain situations.

The defensive allignment depends on the opposing offense.

Last time we flirted with the 3-4 it was absolutely atrocious.  Dom Capers is the only coach in Carolina history that ran it effectively.  Switching to the 3-4 takes at least two years.  Please God no.

We ran a 3-4 in 2019 and had the worse rush defense in the league by far. That was with Kuechly, Gerald McCoy, Poe, Thompson, Obada, Butler, Haynes, Addison, Irvin, Boston, Bradberry, Cockrell, Jackson, Reid,

I don’t exactly feel confident we can pull it off with this group either, but then again who knows how much of that was Eric Washington.

If we have a group like we did in the 90s maybe.
