Where does it say they are villains?  They know this story is out there.

You are saying if they don't acknowledge something that is bothering a lot of people that it's somehow more evidence they are being truthful.  I digress.

Is the government not acknowledging that we're being controlled by lizard people evidence that it's true?

This is a really stupid discussion about an idiotic conspiracy theory. It doesn't need to be "acknowledged".

I mean they denied UAE's for years didn't they? Who created the term conspiracy theory?

Just because I don't buy every press release doesn't mean I believe in lizard people.  Mr Scot...thats a crap argument. We are talking about NFL owners and you bring in fuging lizard people. Once again taking something to the extreme.

Trying to reduce me down to Alex Jones for thinking Wilks was mishandled.  Jesus Christ get a grip

@TheMaulClawhonest question, do you think it was a red flag for Wilks that no other team was interested in hiring him? Not even for a coordinator role? Correct me if I’m wrong, he has not gotten a single interview request other than the Panthers. I don’t think he did as great of a job as a lot of fans think he did. It was alright, but by no means great. Just my opinion

Wilks was out of work, the Panthers gave him a job and even promoted him after 5 weeks. Because of this he may be considered by other teams in the future considering he did an decent job. The team wanted offense minded people and moved on. If the Panthers hadn't hired him, where would he be? Illinois? Out of the NFL? He should be grateful for the job he was given in the first place.

I appreciate the honest and cordial discourse. It's hard to know. David Shaw was interviewed by the Broncos but no one else interviewed him.

Teams aren't congruent with who they want to interview.  Obviously Indy didn't think much of Reich but that doesn't mean we thought he was awful.

I think the fact that Wilks is involved in a lawsuit is more of a red flag to other owners. Precisely for what's happened here in the past few days.

I do think Wilks will get another opportunity. He is a good coach.

I think that most teams will stay away from Wilks this year because this is messy and they would rather avoid the distraction. I do think he gets a job this year despite that...got a feeling it would be the Steelers.

It’s easy to bash Tepper but I don’t believe he deserves the blowback that he’s getting for hiring Reich over Wilks. I don’t believe it was racially motivated. If Tepper was racist against Wilks, he would have never hired him as DC or allowed him to serve as interim head coach. Serving as interim HC was in itself a high level 13 games job interview in front of the entire league. It’s obvious that Tepper likes Wilks a great deal or he wouldn’t have trusted his team to him for 12 games. At the end of the day, Tepper chose Reich for his offensive influence. There are 4 more open HC jobs available, Wilks is in a good position to get one them. I really wish him well.

And Wilks rewarded Tepper. He saved the season for Tepper.  He changed the perception of the team for the better.  If Wilks hadn't done the type of job he did the heat on Tepper would be at an all time high.

Considering Tepper is the same guy who brought in Rhule.

The point is, is that Tepper said he would give Wilks consideration if he did an incredible job. Wilks did an incredible job. The Panthers did everything they could to make it seem like was truly considered when he wasn't.  Then they leak that he is a finalist but never was.

I will always be a fan of the Panthers, but for the one game we go up against a Wilks defense (hopefully) I'll root for him to kick our ass.

We clearly have different definitions of “incredible job” and I’m 100% sure you have no idea what Tepper would define as “incredible job” in that context, just like you have no idea to what extent Wilks was “considered”. To be honest I think he got more “consideration” than he deserved which makes this all even more ridiculous.

Why no outrage that the Broncos, Colts and Cards never requested an interview with him. The truth is he’s a 9-19 HC that got stomped with the poo division on the line. I blame the rest of the NFCS for being so poo the media’s main argument is well almost won the division

This, if Bruce Arians held off retirement for a year or so the Bucs would have won the NFCS easily and the Panthers would have never been in "playoff contention".

Wilks had the opportunity to win the job but he walked into Tampa with an ATROCIOUS gameplan and even worse in game management and it was game over from there.

The only question remains is when the Wilks fanboys will give up, they are like the Japanese soldiers still fighting WWII on some remote island into the 1970s. It's over and it's been over.
