Don’t know how legit, but seems like Fangio to Carolina could be happening.

Have a feeling Fangio is waiting to see if the Eagles DC Gannon lands a HC in Houston. If Eagles win tomorrow the wait might get to long.

General belief is they're hiring Demeco Ryans.

Fangio is wanted all over the league so basically he can go wherever he wants to. Yeah, it could be here, but if not he isn't the only good option.

Hell, if people study what Ben Johnson did to counter his defensive concepts last season, whoever winds up with him could have issues.

I've seen those reports, but its not official. Gannon and Ryans are in the running, so its possible the loser Sunday may also lose their DC as it would be another 2 weeks to wait on the winner. I also wouldn't rule out Fangio going to the 49ers if Ryans leaves, though I'm not sure how their personnel fits his scheme

Manuel is no slouch.

I'm sure Reich has a top-3 to 4 guys in play, will definitely be interested to see how it unfolds.

From what we've read he was given the job because he had his staff lined up.

If that's falling apart it's not too late to fire him and get a better HC in.

There's no way Reich had contract details nailed down previously. Fangio, or whomever, may have told Reich they were interested but contract negotiations fall apart. Not really on the HC in that situation.

Reich's been in the league long enough and worked with enough people that he's got a load of contacts. That was one of his big selling points.

Hell, he and Vic Fangio have been friends since 1995.
