4 games, including tonight, before the all-star break. A 9-day break before the Rangers visit Raleigh on Feb 11.

None of these are assumed wins. Boston obviously the best team in the league right now; the Kings give Carolina fits because of the matchups across the top 2 lines and Buffalo has made a huge leap since the start of the season. 5-6 points would be very welcome leading into the break. 73 points or better by the break will make me very happy.

I’ll be there against the Kings and Rangers. I don’t want to put the cart before the horse, but I bet Freddie and Slavin play on Sunday. The boys are going to be up for that matchup.

4 of the 5-6 points I thought would be a good run up to the All-Star break. I have to believe the Canes will beat either the Kings or Sabres for 6 points and a win over both and finishing January with a 10-5 record and a 7-game win streak would be awesome.

I believe the canes catch Boston this year. When they turn it on like yesterday, no one can touch us.

Canes will have a chance to get within five of Boston by the break if things go their way.

If we can beat LA and Buffalo and Boston loses on the road to Toronto then we’ll be within 5 points of the Bruins with both teams having played the same amount of games.

And as always, fug Boston.
