Do you trust Reich to find us (and develop) a franchise QB?

Part of the reason I thought the Burns trade actually made some sense. More 1st round picks to give up if we needed to move. Obviously you want to keep an edge rusher, but without a QB, edge rusher isn't going to lead you to the playoffs, much less a SB. Before we start getting serious about trades, I want to see who we get as an OC. That's going to be very telling about the type of QB we try to acquire.

You guys know for the most part....GM's are final call on QB acquisitions, no? I know he vouched for Wentz, but even then, he was amazing with Wentz in Philly. Draft this guy a QB. Go trade up. It is time.

I'm leaning towards yes as I feel it's a job requirement and he knows it's what's needed in the modern NFL.

No idea what to expect. The bigger question is can Fitterer successfully navigate this process and prove the bad the last two years was all Matt Rhule. I hope so.

If we offered to swap 1sts and 2nds, add Burns (possibly valued at 2 future 1sts and a 2nd this year) since he is a proven edge rusher, and add the 9ers 2nd, would that be a move we should/could consider to get to 1 if necessary. That would be 3 1sts, 2 2nds in value to move up 8 spots.

Unless Reich tells Fitt to get him this QB, I think Fitt will tell Reich "Here is the QB *I* feel this team needs.  Now mold him into a QB.  Have fun!"

BS speculation by Rigley.  How can he KNOW that Fitt, Morgan, the scouting staff AND Reich are all in on CJ?  CJ may very well be worth trading up for, but Rigley is just throwing spaghetti against the wall to see if it sticks.

Its not his speculation. He is reporting what Allbright said. Allbright also said earlier this week TEPPER loves Stroud for context.

Distinction without a difference.  Same question: How can Albright KNOW that Fitt, Morgan, the scouting staff, Tepper AND Reich are all in on CJ?
