I heard it a little differently.  he said that is the 1st thing he wanted to do but that it would be difficult since everyone is scattered.  He said there will be a few he can meet.  He did not sound like he would hold anything up for that. 2nd on the list was staff, but does not have to finish #1 to start on #2.

Yeah you are correct.  I kinda missed that detail. Thanks for clarifying.

I'm not salty that I'm attacking his family.

I'm just anti simp and believe men should stick to their values and not sway because of a woman.

If I am out with a chick and she says I'm vegan I order a steak. I don't try to force her to eat a steak. She can have her choices but I'm not going to appease her.

So you are a miserable person irl as well as online? Cool story.

I turned on local sports radio for the first time in forever today because I was interested to hear more about Frank Reich and the hire, etc. and the first thing I hear is the douchenozzle host ask some guest “Does Steve Wilks get the job if he’s white?” And the douchenozzle guest replies “Well if Joe Brady had been a better coordinator and then named interim coach they would have made him head coach in November because he’s young and white and was an OC.” Like wtf is wrong with people.

He mentioned he wanted to speak with the team before doing anything else in the video interview you posted.  That will take some doing to bring them all together since everyone is scattered out everywhere in the offseason.

Does WFNZ hate the Panthers or something? All their doing is bagging on them for not hiring Wilks and saying Reich won’t make it here

They arent the only ones. Jim Rome just spent an entire segment on it. Says Wilks earned the job, and implying he was canned because Wilks let the cat out of the bag that Tepper was tanking.

Race radio gets clicks. It gets listeners really engaged and gets a lot of emotional responses. I haven’t listened to WFNZ in ages, suggest you do the same. Look at the threads here about Wilks.

They traded CMC immediately after they fired Rhule.  There was no cat to let out of the bag.

Tepper just didn't account for how horrific Matt Rhule actually was.  And that just running the most simplistic stuff highlighted how the NFL is in fact designed for teams to go .500.  Takes special people to go drastically north or south of .500.

Wilks said in a post gamer presser that the team was trying to tank. The T word. Can’t imagine that made Tepper very happy.

Ruhle was a catastrophically bad hire here. Wilks did a really good job of getting some stability and respect back to the team in 12 games.

What presser was that? I tuned out pretty early on.

He clarified it.  He was telling the players to ignore the media narrative that they are tanking and inspired them to play through all of the changes.  It's nothing really and had nothing to do with Reich getting the job.  Tepper wants a QB more than anything and Reich is more equipped to find and develop one since he was a QB, OC, and HC successfully.  People also keep leaving out the fact Wilks had no other interviews to be HC.  The league knows his style of play is dated and no one aside from us was interested in him being a HC.

Jake Query who covers the colts was just on WFNZ to talk about Reich.

- Indy fans happy to see him get another opportunity in a better situation.

- Reich is a Players coach.  Players loved him.

- was good year 1 then year 2 was caught off guard by Lucks retirement in preseason.

- Rivers was brought in the next season because Reich had coached him in San Diego.

-Rivers retired so they scrambled and Reich vouched to trade for Wentz who he had success with.

- Wentz refused to get vaccinated which was a controversy.  Wentz ended up getting covid late that year and missed some practice.

-at the end of the Season, Irsay told Reich he never wanted to see Wentz again.  They then went onto trade for Ryan.

- few games into this season.  Irsay told Reich that he was to bench Ryan for Elinger.  Then eventually fired Reich.  Hired Saturday which they then went back to Ryan.

-mentioned OL injuries this year early.  And no one outside of Pittman weapons wise.
