Pretty expensive to live in San Fran...might take some extra cash to get him there.

Having lived in Cali in recent years, I also think it's a pretty crap city.  The best spots are across the bridge by Sausalito or far south outside town.  The actual city has really dipped in quality.  Even the trendy/cool neighborhoods for older millennial couples/young fams.  This is coming from a City Planner 🙂  Oakland is even looking better with the amount of improvements going on.   San Fran has just had such a disappointing trajectory after being a standard bearer in many ways in the early 00s.  Same goes for Portland.

East coast & some of the resurgent midwest cities are what's up.

No, Wilks was an interim HC.  It has to be HC or GM to get the comp pick. Coordinators and staffers don't count.

Did they not changed the rules(again?). It goes for corporate jobs now(i think)....lookup san fran and comp picks, they lead...got like 6 extra picks due. Like if you hire and its a promotion type of deal, I could be off, but rules changes happen soooo much now..

Someone else asked this, and apparently since a coach has been hired Wilks is no longer interim head coach and his title reverts back to DB coach.

So yeah, we would.

What's the reason?

From the article...

If you are to believe what people in Mobile are saying, it’s due to Kyler Murray — and it’s not because the quarterback has a large say in the matter.

Rather, many of the desired candidates don’t want to take the job knowing they’ll be tied to the hip of Murray for the next four seasons. Murray signed a five-year, $230 million contract in late August, and anyone who takes the Cardinals job will have no options in the foreseeable future at quarterback.

    • I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.
    • The lack of production is especially surprising given how much effort the team put into coaxing the best from him.  In just six short years he’s had the opportunity to work with 3 different GMs, 7 different head coaches and 10 different starting quarterbacks.  There’s literally no excuse to be made that one of those combos didn’t work.  It might be time to look withIAN.
    • I would say maybe 8 in a tier by themselves and all but 2 where picked in the top of the first allen pat m stroud burrow jackson hurts (maybe) Herbert Stafford
