I think there is legitimate concern as he has talent on offense in Dallas. Dak, Zeke, Pollard, Lamb. Ben Johnson has who? Can Kellen Moore get the same production with less talent?

Moore made Prescott a very rich man - he's terrible at football.

For the record, Steichen has pretty much the most stacked roster in football to play with.

No, I'm saying you cannot use a candidates age as a determining factor unless it is a legitimate reason.  You not wanting an older coach is not a legitimate reason.  That candidate could sue your ass for discrimination based on that alone, and will win. Its a violation of federal law. I take it you've not been involved in hiring people or you would know this already.

With Reich, you know what your getting. And he can put a really good staff together. I like him over a bunch of guys with no HC experience. Not sure this franchise is in position to roll the dice with someone who has never had HC experience.

Easy to speculate but I wouldn’t be surprised if Wilks or Reich are on a short leash.
Like if the Panthers are utterly dreadful next season the coach we hire may be one and done.
Reich and Wilks hire does seem a too safe hire by an owner not wanting to be snake bit again if it doesn’t work out.

There's a lot of truth in what you said. I've kinda leaned this way after seeing the full list of candidates they interviewed. But I did not sit in in the interviews so I didn't know what to expect when it's all said and done. I just watch the games and hope they win. That's the total of my investment in this team.

Look, I will support Wilks or Reich if they become the HC BUT Wilks is not my first choice by no means.

Regardless, I just hope either will learn lessons from their last go around and make sound decisions on the offensive side of the ball because otherwise, we will be back in the same position in two years.

They're really gonna try to sell Reich as a former Panther QB I bet, can see all the fluff pieces now. They probably want both guys on staff but Joe Person said that's unlikely

Am I the only one that wants zero former connections on the staff?

This is a loser franchise - don't remind me of that.

Coaches don't make players play better.

Coaches call plays.

Dak controls his success not Kellen Moore.

This is not a controlled robot.

If they one and done why even hire them?

What are we the Texans now?

    • lol It's 2 games in with a broken QB it's too early to tell. I hope Canales works out but this is still funny.
    • Man there truly is no helping the stupid that litters this place
    • This backlash has truly been sad and was part of the reason I believe Bryce was drafted in the first place. He was small and looked like a kid and everybody just loved that he was also good at football. Once I heard CJ Stroud talking on his podcast tour this summer, I was like well that is the reason he isn't here. I remember the hatred for Cam that basically arose out of him being a massive, confident, black man. Every time a new broadcast crew met him during warmups the telecast was just about how larger than life he was. I even had a friend who is close to Cam's size talk about him sucking the air out of every room goes into like being big, loud, and confident is a bad thing. And many here along with the media never showed any sympathy, empathy, or a second thought to the shite Cam had to put up with while here. Till this day it is either about the stupid fumble that didn't matter that he didn't jump on, or that he only had like one good year.  So to see this crazy backlash from the sports and social media regarding Canales benching a small, weak, entitled, non verbal QB who is playing terrible, struggling to recognize defenses, missing open WRs, and leaving clean pockets is mind blowing! Only Chase Daniels watched the film before talking this week. Everyone else used it as an opportunity pine for Bryce and crap on organization. Again, I hope someone is dumb enough to give us Josh Rosen compensation for him.
