How about Wilkes as HC and Reich as OC?

Reich is the more experienced and successful HC.

It would be Reich/Wilks. We definitely can have both if we play our cards right.

They both love NC, live here full or part time, so the rest should be easy.

Agreed. Wilks as HC/Reich as OC would work, but not the other way around.

This is an ideal scenario. But who is the DC? Holcomb?

I have a feeling Wilks is talking to Byron Leftwich. He was his OC in Arizona. But Leftwich was kinda forced on Wilks, since he was there working under Arians before they hired Wilks. That whole staff was kinda weird.

I just get a hard time seeing Reich do this.

though some other teams like Jets, Ravens etc are hard after him as OC.

I think if he doesn’t get a HC job this round.  He will next year.

Kaye had previously speculated that if they weren't waiting around for Shane Steichen, they could potentially wrap up their search this week.

Steichen is my favorite choice but also the riskiest. I have to wonder if the team waits until after the Eagles/49ers game on Sunday to make a decision. If the Eagles lose, they might try to grab their guy. Otherwise, onto their fallback.

You may be right, though having ties to Carolina may help our case for him to take that spot...especially if we pay him more than the others. I am not opposed to spending Tepper's money.

To be fair, we don't know for certain that Payton is out.

The Panthers seem to be keeping a pretty tight lid on things.

If the rumors from Denver are correct I think it's down to Shaw and Quinn there.

But yea the Panthers have been tight lipped.

If Reich doesn't get a head coaching position, and Shane Steichen gets a HC job, Reich could very well be back to being the OC of the Eagles.

I think there is so much chaff being thrown out that it's hard to tell the real information from the garbage. Whether than is intentional or accidental is a mystery.

    • When a team has EXPECTATIONS you have to show them that your fandom and praise is EARNED.  People would be mad if the they lost two one goal competitive games like 2023 but they wouldn't have gotten booed out of the building because the effort and competitiveness would be there but to lose in THAT fashion at home with your entire top line going free lance and saying fug this yeahhh.
    • Well with back to back road games to open the season again we really can't afford a "slow start" at least not for the psyche of the fanbase that is already at rock bottom from years of losing. I think that will depend on our approach to preseason this go around. But I do agree the makings of a culture change could be big for us. At the same time we heard talk of this last year and then we got the doors blown off multiple times. I can agree with you it's best to try to maintain perspective until we get closer to the midway point of the season. The main things I want to see early on even if we aren't necessarily winning is spark and toughness from the offense and defense and at least keeping games close.
    • First goal hmmm im going with Verhague
