In a significant move that could impact the flow of money to potential free agents and the competitive balance of teams, the NFL has notified the players' union that, effective next March, owners will pull the plug on the $100-million-per-year revenue-sharing program that has subsidized lower-revenue clubs, mulitple sources said.

They are officially gonna make this league suck balls like the MLB. First the salary cap and now the salary minimum is gone too. There's gonna be no more any given sunday and just a bunch of Yankees Red Sox crap. I guess the Dallas airport will be pretty busy the day FA starts.

Big Cat will not get into bidding wars with Jones and Synder, those two teams will exceed any other teams in paying for talent/coaches...both will be like the NY Yankees and ruin the NFL. what makes the NFL the top sport, is the fact ANY team has the same chance to win in any given year, provided they make the right moves from the FO to the players on the field. not what they can afford to pay, which gives bigger markets an unfair advantage.

God people are doom and gloom. The Panthers were very successful when there was no cap and we even spent a butt load when we first came into the league to get vet guys. Dose everyone forget about Salt and Pepper? I mean now days there is no way to afford talent like that for that long. Anyways there will be a lockout after next year if nothing is done with the CBA and thats gonna really suck balls.

    • I obviously agree Bryce Young and Dave Canales need to make huge strides this upcoming season. Especially given the resources we've tied to the offense and hiring an offensive minded head coach. That goes without saying. As far as the defense goes beyond the top the bottom blowout losses we experienced even in the closer games there were guys across the defense getting picked on regularly. That's all over the game film our upcoming opponents this year will be prepared for. There's a lot of people with something to prove on both sides of the ball.
    • OK, Rocket Pop, your solution is to play Freddie every game until he dies, because Cooch is rubbish. Or we could play our 3rd goalie. What was his name again? Kotchekov is a paid professional. They leave him in to see if he has any redeeming value. He has to snap out of it or pack his bags.
    • Yeah Williams isn't horrible  but I feel if you replaced him with some of the other 2nd round prospects at Georgia, the production would've been the same. I dont see much a difference  in getting him at 8 vs the other prospects later.
