Unless they hire a ax murdered or something along that lines, it would be absurd to stop being a fan because of a coaching hire.  

That being said, I am not sure what good it does to hire Payton if we have to give away a bunch of picks and he can't get a decent qb.

The Huddle hated Roman Harper when he was with the Saints but cheered for him when he played for the Panthers. We don't like assholes, unless they are OUR assholes then it's ok.

I would be a fan no matter who we choose, win or bust. That's just what it means to be a fan. But I guess the base may lean more casual fan, than lifelong fans. 

Just think about it, we stuck around with Rhule at the helm. Even though I don't care for Payton, I will still be a fan of the team.

It's not my theory. It's well known that Payton wants full control. That may also include having a GM of his choice.

Many of us tolerated Harper but never cheered him
