Do you think Payton goes somewhere this year, or does he wasn’t until next year when he is done with his contract with NO?

I'm about 50/50.

He reportedly wants the Chargers job, and the LA ownership likely wouldn't be blamed for doing Staley after last night.

But people have also correctly pointed out that the Spanos family is cheap, and Payton won't be.

This is called homework.  Learn to do it before posting, younglings.

Well its Panthers related and I tried to look into any connections and missed it. You could of easily stayed away from the post but apparently  you felt the need to come here. Its a Panthers forum....which is made for conversations  related to the Panthers. I was tending to my kids and saw this come across, checked the board and didn't see it mentioned....  hence  COULD THIS BE A SIGN

So the same will happen for the OC position. Probably sooner than later.

Hopefully because we won't keep McAdoo, but if whomever the HC is retains him then no other candidates are required to be interviewed.

One recent change that I especially like is that teams cannot block

I think the most revealing thing about this was that you assumed I meant you.  I was simply complimenting the thought process and diligence of Mr. Scot, and sending a jab at the people who tend to be impulsive on here--over the years.  If I was targeting you, I would have mentioned your name.  I do not care who posts what, to be honest.  I just prefer honest statements supported by facts over emotion-fed conjecture.

Bro, It was on my post... I barely post. My bad if it wasn't meant for me but I was just stating if so. I'm man enough to  say my bad but I do know it's a bunch of back n forth on here. I don't usually  do much at all.

All correct.

I'd long expected Morgan would be an advocate for Ken Dorsey in this hiring cycle.

If Person is right though, Tepper might have his eyes set on Ben Johnson.

To be fair, Goff, who was a throw away by the Rams, elevated with Johnson

Dorsey had Newton and now  has Allen.

I just don’t think Dorsey is the guy. If he is, he is   At least he knows where his office will be…more than that, who knows

    • Yeah and he succeeded at an even higher level in LA with an even better surrounding cast. Goff is a guy that isn't really able to dramatically elevate players around him but he can make a good situation even better. He is capable of that. Some QB's aren't. I am not sure Dak is able to do that and he is in a similar "class" as Goff, IMO.
    • i think i could handle that for a year. beyond that....i don't know.  back where we lived, when we had a few inches of snow, it might have been a couple feet because we weren't getting out and doing anything. i remember times where power would go out for days on end. we had propane and electric heat, depending on the floor. basement (had a couple bedrooms and a living room and kitchen down there) and main floor had gas logs. main floor gas logs was enough to take care of the upstairs, so we could stay warm and cook on the grill when we needed. we had a well so that was always an issue when the power went out. had to make sure tubs were filled with water for the toilets and we had gallons of water for drinking and cooking available. always had to make sure we were ready. that wasn't always the case. we had a couple moments where we were going through propane quickly and because we were dealing with the worst propane company in the world (amerigas) they wouldn't get out to put gas in our 900 gallon tank. made for some nerve racking moments.  i know y'all were probably a lot more able to handle that kind of thing, but after the little bit (comparatively) that we got here i just have no desire to get trapped again. maybe for a day or two a year get snowed in and i'm good.
    • I think he is just drawing a DC to them line and that's about as far as his thought process went. It makes almost no sense outside of that. Also, it doesn't make sense for Pittsburgh or Seattle at this juncture either.  I think our "veteran" pool is basically gonna be the Dalton/Flacco tier or the "pick your poison" options of young busts(Jones/Z. Wilson) or wild, TO prone gunslingers(Darnold/Winston/etc). We have the option to pursue I genuinely believe(depending on the way the rest of this season goes), we either draft a QB in the top 10 or resign Dalton. Outlier third option on taking one of the wild gunslingers that Dave feels like he can work with.
