Yeah I'm not sure how it works as they passed on the 5th year option. I've read they can't franchise him because of that. I don't know. If not, an option?

This article from SI seems to indicate they can still franchise him.

If by a miracle he hits the open market, I believe he should/would be our number one target to bring in.

Cousins is a good QB. He's not elite but he's good. Jones is on that good backup/marginal starter category.

Cousins is on a fairly stacked offense with what looks to be a pretty good coach who knows his way around that O. Shouldn't be crawling out of a hole here in the playoffs. I've given Daniel Jones a lot of poo too but if he gets his offense down the field and scores again that's pitiful for the Vikings.

Panthers with cousins woulda won 9+ games and never traded CMC assuming rhule still got fired when he did. Cousins ain't top 5 but he's in that top 12 or better area. Yet over rated lolz! Foreskins were crazy to let him go and suffering for it.

I think people just say overrated because they don't know what else to say. I rarely see Cousins mentioned as a top 10 QB and I've never seen him mentioned as a top 5 guy. He is what he is - a borderline top 10 type guy. I don't think he's that talented but he's done a good job of maximizing the talent he has.

Are you actually watching the game? Jones is throwing to wide ass open dudes. Cousins is making the far tougher plays. Give the Giants coaches their due. These dudes are drawing it up.

That last throw was ridiculous gotta give the man props. And Cousins is throwing half as many checkdown passes too.

    • Interesting that they met with Walker three times and Cam Jackson twice.
