Kaye said It doesn't sound like he's all in on Carolina.

And yes, he could do all of this and still decide to go back to TV.

Right, because he still doesn't have a job and continues to interview.  To me that doesn't sound like someone that isn't all in, sounds like a reasonable person in any job search, you hope for one or two but don't put all your eggs in any.

Right, he can, but the drawn out part makes no sense when Payton is the one drawing it out, what does the length of the process of to do with anything when all jobs are still open and as I said, if no team checks all the boxes right now, why even waste the time?  I don't think Payton wants nor needs to do that.

I'm going to lock this thread at some point tonight and get a part 2 going. Too much crap to sift through over 187 pages.

AMEN!

Maybe use one primarily for tweets and updates and start a second one for discussion

Excellent idea...was actually thinking the same thing.  One thread for facts, one for fights.

What a stupid thing to say.  What if Carolina doesn't want him, should he just choose not to coach.  Hey Mike Kaye, if you don't get that one job please make sure you don't interview for any others

I stopped following Kaye a few days ago. He doesn’t seem overly smart when it comes to a lot of things.

188 pages of mostly talking in circles. Even the HC candidate thread is just “debating” for lack of a better term. Let’s try to keep these threads informative and not mental masturbation hubs 👍🏻

So is Tepper dumb enough to trade 2 1st rd picks for Sean Payton with no assets to go after a QB?

It just doesn't make sense imo. Our #1 priority should be getting a franchise QB.

Careful that thought makes u a bad fan apparently 🤣

I'd argue he had a better corps in NY. Some of those guys really came on toward the end of the season and things began to click. TMJ, Tremble, and Thomas? Come on, dude.

He had no TE help. Tremble, Thomas are better than the TE they brought up from their practice squad.

We have better receivers and tight ends and a better o line. This offense has more weapons than young Daniel has ever had.

He had coaching changes, Gettleman f' ups. NO he didn't have better in NY. He'd be a better player with this squad and he really stepped up his game.

Thats the problem, you can't be informative with any of this as no one knows...that includes anyone on social media:

    • Whatever. I am so ready to not see any more mock drafts until there is a draft worth talking about in the 1st. Even the top 2 guys in this draft are underwhelming in comparison.
    • I'm having a hell of a time trying to make projections for Carolina due to the giant question mark that is Jacksonville. Looking over their roster, they're a prime candidate to trade back. Most of the top prospects are going to be at positions they've already made investments in and are getting returns on: RB (Jeanty) - Travis Etienne (2021 1st), Tank Bigsby (2023 3rd) OT (Membou) - Walker Little (2021 2nd), Anton Harrison (2023 1st) TE (Warren) - Brenton Strange (2023 2nd) DT (Graham) - Davon Hamilton (2020 3rd), Maason Smith (2024 2nd), Jordan Jefferson (2024 4th), Arik Armstead LB (Walker) - Foyesade Oluokun, Devin Lloyd (2022 1st), Chad Muma (2022 3rd), Ventrell Miller (2023 4th) EDGE (Walker) - Travon Walker (2022 1st), Josh Hines-Allen (2019 1st) Looking at the investments already made, if the Jags were too go with one of those positions I could see them leaning towards a rotational edge rusher or an upgrade at tight end for TLaw. Their most pressing need (imo) is at CB. I could also see them looking to go WR as well, but all scenarios point to the optimal outcome for the Jags to be move back, acquire more draft capital, and take the best prospect rather than the most needed position. This spirals a bit when I start to try and figure out what Carolina will do. If Warren or Graham falls to them they will have to determine whether or not they're better off passing on them and getting extra depth from this class. Trying to read the tea leaves, I think that they've made peace with that and are willing to move back and look to take either the best SLB or WLB available (Mykel Williams or Donovan Ezeiruaku, imo).
