The letdown is disappointing but it's good for the future

I still think 100% we need to bring a QB in the mix, but Sam has looked like a good starter behind this line.

It's foolish to go it alone with him, but I think it would also be foolish not to bring him back if we can reasonably.

Another pass rusher is by far priority #1 IMO in terms of draft needs.  I agree with you about QB, CB, & WR as well.

Resigning Bozeman is priority #1 for FA.  Would like Foreman if he comes back reasonably.

Future definitely looks so much brighter than it did last year at this time.

FTR, I'm fine retaining Darnold for food backup money. Seems like a great guy in the locker room and he could be a good bridge to a rookie if need be so we're not forced to play a rookie before he's ready.

He wasn't bad today - even his INT was the right read, but a poor throw. He's a fine bridge QB for a rookie to learn behind until they're ready. That's been a bright spot of the last 5 games for sure.

Lots of overhauls needed on the roster for sure.

    • They reached for Pickett, so they are not immune to it.  I could see that as well.  I just think the Colts are flying under the radar and they have been too quiet concerning their QB situation--of course, they could think Jones is their guy (they had a good one named Jones a long time ago) but I think they are done with the Richardson experiment.   Even if I believed in Jones, I would still draft a QB--I also read one mock that said the Jets would take Sanders if he falls to 7---I disagree, but I was once wrong and it still bothers me.
    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
