Change is coming!

dude, i hope so.

i'm thinking even hurney is getting the message. probably too little too late but still...the message was pretty obvious to all but the most stubborn minds. we haven't been paying enough attention to getting a real QB that will help the team stay competitive.

that contract was a mistake. franchising peppers was a mistake that led to the jake mistake.

hurney's damage control caused more harm than good. their faith in jake was their downfall. you don't go into the future with an error prone old QB with a new elbow without having a viable backup ready....

i have little faith in hurney and fox's ability to fix this problem. i'd rather get someone else in here that hasn't screwed things up yet.

sad thing is, we may be stuck with these clowns for another year since at least fox has another year on his contract.

Spending the 13th pick on Stewart was a mistake. Sending this years top 10 pick to the 49ers for Everett brown was a mistake.

Hurney and Fox need to help each other clean out their desks.

We have that guy, its McCown. He is a better option than Campbell or Jackson.

i'm liking mccown as well. i'd love to see him get a legit shot at starting to see what he can do. i like him better than moore and think mccown can win the starting spot next season.

my best guess is that moore will fail and will not be with the team next year. mccown will start with jake earning a fat check to hold a clipboard and some 3rd or 4th round rookie 3rd in the rotation.

you're flat wrong about stewart.

absolutely correct about brown. he is not worth a first round pick this year.

the stewart trade didnt look to bad last year when he helped us to a 12-4 record.

and although i think brown will turn out to be a good player. it was a bad trade. EVEN THOUGH, im sure they didnt think delhomme would be this bad and that it would turn into a top 10 pick. either way, it wasnt a good trade.

The Panthers didn't trade for Stewart, we owned the 13th pick outright. They traded a 1st, 2nd and 4th round pick to take Otah with the 19th pick later that draft.

yeah youre right, i dont know why i said trade instead of pick.

either way, the pick didnt look bad as he helped us to a 12-4 record.

I didn't like the McCown signing. However, watching him on the sideline, he seems to have the fire and excitement that is needed. I know that doesn't translate to on-field play - but he seems VERY willing and eager to try. Most backup QBs, especially on IR, are more just watching and waiting. Josh seems very into things, if things go well, he's one of the first to welcome Jake and whoever back to the sideline, then all during the defense on field, he's right in the midst of the QB talk on the sideline, sometimes just him and Jake w/ Rip. Like I said, I don't know who that will translate on-field but he does seem to have the work effort to try to succeed.

Winding down his 2nd Pro season Stewart is on the short side of 1400 yards for his almost 2 year career averaging 4.6 YPC.

Deangelo Williams will double that number each of the last 2 years at 5.1 YPC.

We didn't need to spend the 13th overall pick on another running back.

but what about the fact that in williams' first two years he only had 1218 yards for 4.6 YPC?

maybe its to soon to say it was a bad choice to take stewart?

Just more bad judgement from Fox and Hurney.

again, it wasnt a problem last year when stewart helped the panthers to a 12-4 record.

but now that delhomme has been HORRIBLE this year, along with bad play calling. it was a bad move? i just dont see the logic.

who should carolina have drafted?
