Since Rhule was canned, we throw the ball less than the vast majority of teams in the league.  Ian Thomas may be overpaid, and certainly isn't a great pass catching tight end, but we can't blame him for not catching passes that aren't thrown.

Besides that one off 4th down seam throw from darnold in the Minnesota game last year about the only pass I’ve seen him catch is a rollout where he goes with the QB to the nearest sideline for a 3 yard reception. Then he turns to go upfield, looks like he’s wearing concrete shoes and gets stoned immediately by the defender. Maybe one day it’ll work.

Had we just let both go in the offseason, nary a tear would have been shed by the Panthers faithful.
