What a delusional take. Reminds me of when Panthers fans tried to talk up Teddy Bridgewater early on. We keep circling back making the same rationalizations for the same bum QB's. It's Groundhog Day.

Talk about delusional.  Some of you are so hellbent on getting a QB in round one just to say we drafted a QB in round one.  You'll take said QB regardless of his question marks.

We aren't getting Stroud or Young, both have concerns, but they'll be long gone by the time we pick.

But then again, you're part of the Tank for a QB crowd.  Tanking is a fans term not a team term.

Most have said that we aren't contending next year so why not get another position of need and see what Corral has? If he going to suck so bad, we'll be in the mix for Maye or Williams, who are far better QBs than any in this draft.

Every year next year's QBs are much better. We're very likely to be drafting top 10 and may have an opportunity for a very good QB prospect.

I've no interest in tanking but also think we really need to add a QB.

I'm not against adding a QB in the upcoming draft but I also don't want to draft one in the first round just to say we drafted a 1st round QB.   There are other potential starting QBs in round 2.  You don't pass on a player that could be a game changer and take a QB that's not worth the value you are using the pick on.

We aren't a QB away from the Super Bowl.

I don't think there's anyone wanting a QB in the first round that wants them to reach for like the 5th QB on the board if we're drafting 9th or something. But what we need is a new QB, and while it is possible to get them in the 2nd or 3rd, it is way more rare.

What's the point of drafting a QB that has more questions about them than Corral?  If you have a shot at Stroud, Young or maybe Levi than I get it, but all the others have more questions than answers.  Corral or whoever our new coach brings in with him is going to have a better chance of success if we draft more weapons like a TE or WR.

Why do you think one of these QBs would have more questions than Corral? Where are you drawing that line?

Corral had a bad injury and we have no idea how he's going to progress. He had terrible coaching but looked absolutely atrocious.  Not all on him, but also certainly nothing to look forward to next year.

If I was a GM, I wouldn't even consider him in any roster-building outside of potential depth - if he proves he can be a backup, awesome. If he somehow is more than that, amazing, but that's a very steep hill to climb.

Corral is a 3rd round project if the Panthers draft a QB in the first round he won’t have more question marks than Corral simple as that

Corral stock dropped because of some off the field issues not talent.  The only reason he didn't get a legitimate shot last year was because of Rhule and his childish competition between a player no longer on the team and Darnold.   Rhule chose his poison once he traded for Mayfield.  He wasn't going to waste his time on Corral or any other rookie.

Though, well documented Rhule did nothing for Corral, you and others make all these lame excuses why we shouldn't work with Corral and choose a QB in this draft that isn't much better, if better at all.

I'd be ok with Stroud, Young or Levi otherwise we are wasting our 1st round pick if we draft a QB.

We've argued this several times.  You're a tanker that thinks the only thing we need on this team is a QB.  You'll sacrifice everything for one, regardless of whether he's worth it or not.

Corral WILL battle for a spot regardless of where we choose a QB.

You’re the one making all the excuses I’m speaking in facts he’s nothing more than a 3rd round project QB who’s stock has fallen further through injury and bad play.
You’re just trolling now thinking Corral is some sort of stud.

No different than CMC's injury, No different than Darnold's injury.  He's already out of a boot and should be ready by OTAs.

Terrible coaching is putting it lightly.  You're going to sit here and tell me that 5 minutes at the end of practices is valuable training?  Valuable Reps? Where he had a competent line to work behind?  His first outing was bad but his second was much better considering he wasn't getting valuable Reps in practice.

Nothing to look forward too?  One of his attributes is his quick release.  Better than any prospect in years, YEARS.  You've obviously forgot many of the reasons we took him over Howell.  (who I wanted)

Stroud = System QB and looked bad against good talent

Young = More injury prone than Corral.  Corral's injury was his ankle.  Young's was his shoulder and he was barely touched when he got hurt.  I saw the game when he got hurt and it ws not a bad hit at all. Not to mention his size

Levi = another that looked terrible against upper echelon teams.  Has the tools but does he have the moxie.

The ones below him have far many more questions than Corral.

What facts?  He's already out of the boot and progressing to be ready for OTAs.  FACT

Injury was caused by poor 4th and 5th string O-line play.

Bad play? Anyone that got treated that way would have played poorly.  You have never acknowledged that Rhule screwed our chances to see what he could do.

You don't know what his talent level is because he's never been evaluate properly.

Trolling?  Hahahahaha this comes from the Tanking king of the forum.  When most know professional football teams and players don't Tank.

Furthermore, you're the one that's putting all these QBs on some type of podium of greatness.

Nice try, TROLL

Yes I do want this team to have the best picks possible because if they identify their franchise QB I don’t want them to have to mortgage a heap of assets to draft him because of meaningless wins. Those assets could be used on weapons like the TEs and WRs you covert over QB

As do I, if we draft a QB in round one I would have to assume that they really think he's the best value at our drafting position.  I just don't want us to draft a QB in round 1 just to say we have our 1st round QB.  I think at our current draft position those QBs that MIGHT make a difference will be gone.  I'd rather use the pick on a position that our new OC can use.

Really good tight ends are hard to come by.  Brady made a career out of using them.  He's had great tight ends most of his career.  You see the different without Gronk this year.   A top talent WR would be a huge addition next to Moore who would be amazing with someone to take the pressure off of him.
