The “Maybe Not So Obvious” Elephant in the Room

This fan base has a knack for throwing just about everyone under the bus at times due to poor performance in game or failure to live up to expectations, from the owner and HC all the way down to the assistant coaching staff to the players.

While I concur that this franchise seems to bathe in mediocrity,  I have to call the BS as I see it.

I received a text yesterday from a friend of mine who is a Steelers fan who said that the Bank looked like a Pittsburg home game.

Wilks asked one thing of this fan base heading into our game against Pitt. SHOW UP…

Unfortunately I’m out of market these days as my duty station has me 10 hours from Charlotte so it’s nearly impossible for me to attend games unless I’m visiting family for the holidays.

Which leads me to my thesis. If you are within driving distance from CLT, let alone have season tickets, and are opting to sell them to out of market fans while you sit your fat, mouth breathing ass on your couch, I really don’t want to hear the bitching about the team losing at home.

If you have the means: Show up. Show out. Support your team.

The Bank should always be painted Black and Blue.

Carry on, and Keep Pounding.

Lol so stupid. I mean beyond stupid.

Let’s bash fans for not wasting their Sunday watching a garbage product. Let’s bash fans for not supporting and wasting their hard earned money on an owner who has gone out of his way to prove his incompetence every step of the way.

it’s also hilarious the person calling everyone out is the one who themselves are not at the game. Oh yeah, please tell me again where Stub Hub and Ticketmaster put in the checkout where you are required to put what team you are supporting. Spoiler alert, they don’t. These people have no idea who they are selling their tickets to.

im proud of the fan base for saying screw you to this dumb ass of an owner and not supporting mediocrity and supporting a bullshit playoff run. We want and deserve better.

Yep, most of those tickets were sold long ago.  Sold when folks realized Tepper was going to waste a season bringing Rhule back.  Another round when Rhule was fired.  Another round when CMC was traded away.

That's why this post is so stupid. It's literally the most expensive game of the season. Not to mention we always get blown out by the Steelers. If any year it was this one and we did what we always do. Lay an egg. After beating a better team in the Hawks at their place no doubt.

for one of the 3 most recent expansion teams that has never pulled off back to back winning seasons.....the Carolina Panthers have had some pretty could and consistent support from the community/fan base.

This has been going on for years. You always hear the stadium is half yellow, there are more KC fans than Panthers. The wine and cheese joke is decades old. This is not a 'This year only' problem.

Steelers have been around for 90 years and have the most Super Bowl wins in NFL history.

Gotta wonder if those arguing so vehemently against the OP even go to the games themselves.

One poster says 1500 for 4 tickets. lol

Then another says 25 bucks, with some not even being able to be given away.

I wonder which one of these is having trouble with his trousers right now. lol

Were you at the game yesterday?

Um...ok

So yeah, we fired our HC in season....and traded away our best player.

it makes sense that people sold their tickets.  And it makes sense that a fanbase (of one of the most successful franchises in NFL history) that has been built for generations.....snatches them up.

We don't have a fanbase problem in Carolina.  That's the point.  We are a young franchise that has been very inconsistent.  Consistently inconsistent. The Carolina Panthers got work to put in if they want their stadium to look different.

Which is what I said. Selling tickets is not a "This year problem", it has been going on for literally years.

Why else would the "Wine and Cheese Crowd" slogan ever been born? Because Panther fans have been selling their seats for decades.

Its always like this for Steelers games...  Yesterday was nothing new...  Instead of Three Rivers Stadium it's One and a Half Rivers Stadium...

    • I am perplexed by this "Bo Nix strong arm" thing. I am not sure if many people saw him in college, in the combine or certainly the NFL but he does not have anywhere near a "strong" NFL arm. Very much closer to average, if not squarely average.
    • Yeah, he gets credit for trying. He does. But I don't see any way he can really be a pocket QB because he is so damned short and small I don't feel like he can see the field without having throwing lanes like, between the tall people. And I never objected to his size, fragility wise - because I never made it that far to worry about that - but if he is gonna sack up and take the hits for stepping into the throws I don't know how long that will work.  And I feel like Canales has to x out so many potential calls because of one limitation or the other; we don't have a fully diverse passing offense with him back there. It is limited.
