Of all the offseason moves perhaps the one I least understood was giving Ian Thomas a multi-year deal worth millions. The guy can’t catch, can’t run and can barely block.  What a disaster.

I hated it too and Im labeled as a finessererr nut hugger. I get the TE market jumped levels, but Thomas never deserved that contract. If you heard a couple other teams were going to offer the same/more, LET THEM and take the 4th round comp!!!

it was a fug up and ben did push the signing. Draft his replacement.

Thomas and Tremble, both.  Blocking TEs are a dime a dozen.  Word on the street was the Tremble was a Rhule crush.  NEVER draft a pure blocking TE before day 3.  Turn Tremble into a H-back/FB until his contract is up.  He has no reason to be running routes beyond 5 yards.  Ian can go quietly into the night.  Sadly, I don't think we save much by cutting him next year so he may as well linger another season.

Tremble was such a strange pick because he wasn't a pass catching QB coming out of college but he never had really been asked to be. I was always hoping we'd be able to develop him and so many other players but we never did any of that under Rhule. I still have no clue if he could be developed or not. Rhule fugged this team in every way imaginable.

This team is in dire need of some offensive weapons.  Our TE's can't block, and they can't get open and if they do, they don't catch the ball.  We have one receiver we can count on to catch the ball consistently.

Pittsburgh played man to man most of the game and we have NO one other than Moore step up.  Marshall is sporadic, Smith is hit or miss, Shenault a RB playing WR, he can barely catch a cold.

I understand that we need a QB but, if we don't get the one we want we need to address our need for offensive weapons.  The last thing we need to do is reach for a QB when there is a stud TE or WR sitting there at our pick.

Wrong my friend.  We were abysmal when CMC was here too.  Even more so actually.  What we need is an actual OC.

I do agree we need a good OC but our weapons are not that good outside of Moore.  RB I would say is above average but WR and TE are well below average.

Then again, if we have a good OC he could turn these assets into much better groups.

Heres another one for the "I was wrong". Tremble was my "sleeper breakout" player..........if he has over 10 recs i would be shocked, can not even tell hes playing 98% of time....

youre right about blocking TEs, *but the words around tremble was he going to be a much better pro......

all he has brought to the 2022 game, is being tabors dad joke punchline target....

Rhule was a big Thomas fan as well.

I expect that has a lot to do with his being here still.

I had high hopes for the guy but the Jags just used both our cast off TEs to beat the Cowboys. We definitely made the wrong decision trading away Arnold and letting Manhertz go. Just another Rhule screw up.

If a QB is not there in the draft the Panthers like, I would like to see them draft the best TE or WR on the board with their first pick.

I have no idea what the free agency market will look like later on but considering the Panthers have so many needs to address, they should cut some of the teams dead wood and be as active a player in free agency as the salary cap will allow.

First round tes in the last 20 years have been brutal.  Bust rate is insane high

If there’s no QB trade down accumulate assets

    • Not sure where that came from since most have been speculating that stock sale was for the Celtics…
    • Arbitration is not a bad thing. It’s not a “fug off” at all lol. Players don’t believe in Rod lololol.
