People ask me what Wilks has to do.

Much respect to Wilks but today confirmed a couple of things for me:

1) mediocrity and ultra conservative play calling is baked into the culture of this team for a long time. With the exception of a few seasons, we always have trouble with consistency. I’m not sure things will ever change with the current coaching regime.

2) our roster is woefully short on viable talent needed to play our brand of football, which certainly contributes to problem #1. We have too many holes to be a playoff team as things stand right now.

Wilks is so much better than Rhule, he tricked quite a few people into thinking he was something more than an average coach I think.

I really expected Darnold to be why we lost today - not our D just folding when it mattered most. Ick.

I really expect you to defend him today. Consider me surprised and impressed.

So tell me about Levis

All the tools in the world. Rocket launcher for an arm, can make all the throws, easily fits balls into small windows. Needs to work on decision making and taking the easy throw occasionally. But you couldn’t ask for a more talented prospect. He’s also extremely tough and pretty fast. Mobility is a huge part of his game.

If we can get an offensive minded coach to help him out, sky is the limit if he’s our pick. I do not think he makes it to us at 7 if that’s where we stay.
