Oh... fired bc he locked a concussed kid in an equipment room alone for hours... dude was a chode. 

That's not how the story happened at all.

Kid was Craig James's (ESPN personality) son, and was whining to his dad about how he wasn't getting any playing time. He got a concussion in practice and the training staff sent him to a dark room which is supposed to help concussions. Complained to his dad that Leach "abused" him and Craig wrote a hit piece on ESPN that got national exposure and coverage. Ultimately got Leach shitcanned.

Leach rebounded and turned around 2 more programs and is beloved by all of CFB. Craig James is an irrelevant failed broadcaster turned failed politician turned whacko preacher man.

I am an Ole Miss graduate but, I am a fan of MSU and Ole Miss.   Mike Leach out coached Lane Kiffin on Thanksgiving night. Both schools had powerful coaches.

you could tell, MSU was a powerful team this year.   Rumors started to circulate that ML was leaving State for medical reasons.  Turns out ML was having respiratory issues.  ML reported the medical issues subsided and 2023 promised to be another good year for MSU.

The point is, ML was a strong coach who will be missed dearly.  Prayers for ML family and MSU.
