Are you In favor of bring back Laviska Shenault next season?

Laviska plays an underrated role on this team, especially in the run game.

His motion and ability to take what is basically an extended handoff really puts a lot of pressure on everyone on the defense tackling.

I think he is actually the perfect WR3 for this current offense.

I am all in favor of retaining WR Laviska Shenault but would like to see more upgrade gained at that position by a trade or the 2023 NFL Draft.

He's is a great guy to have on the team, and definitely helps us by the diversity of talent on the field at one time.

ive been meaning to do a thread about my idea with shen. during the off-season tell him to put on 15+/- clean LBs with the idea thats hes moving to RB. I say, poor-mans king henry is my thinking or a better catching ver. He could still do all the motion stuff and even line up as a WR just like this year. Both in order to maximize his value, i believe he could handle 10 carries along with some WR snaps.

He looks to be a relatively cheap cap hit with some great play making ability. We really need an OC that knows how to use him outside of McAdoo’s dumb screen pass…

I wonder if he could be used like the Falcons use Cordarelle Patterson.  Does he have enough RB ability to be a hybrid RB/WR?

On Blackshear's TD run, 15 performed his orbit motion. Watch one of the Seattle LBs screaming into the flat to cover 15. That took the LB out of the box, and gave Carolina a numbers advantage that springs Blackshear for the TD.

Shenault has talent.  we should find a OC that can use it.  TMJ needs reps and confidence. Moore needs a QB.  Shi needs time to develop. I like our WR group we just need to open up the offense a bit. That said I like the jumbo packages and running the ball down their throat. Introducing some deeper throws, play action and more creative play calling is the next step.

Exactly. And the fact that he has taken 2 of those to the house means defenses have to respect it. It does a lot to open up the run game and overall stress the defense.

I don't expect him to be an exceptional receiver, but his role is important. And look at his PFF grades. Not that I put too much stock in those, but according to them he has played quite well. He is a great run blocker for a receiver too. 

For all the crap given to McAdoo (and much rightly so), him convincing Rhule and Fitterer to pick up Shenault was a good move.
