Yeah, who was drafted as a space-eating, run stuffer lol.

And Crosby was largely invisible the other night as well, and was getting held a ton.

And again, almost all season, Burns is getting double teamed and chipped in addition to being held, EVERY play.

I watch Burns almost every play and he’s almost never doubled.

He looks good but he’s still in the Kyle Allen zone.  He needs to do it beyond 4-5 games before I’d get too excited about him.

He plays for SF, so I am not getting excited about him one way or the other.  😉

That being said, I agree.  Just pointing out that he looks serviceable.  With the offense and coaching that SF has, they could still be pretty good at the end of the year.  You said Kyle Allen, but I was thinking more along the lines of Nick Foles.

If he was 2 1st and and 2nd good he would beat those double teams.   Oh wait.

I guess you don't know his history. To him McCaffrey is the modern GOAT RB. But you can't step up in big moments if you aren't on the field. Catsfan69 has inconsistent standards that's my point.

The man has a 100yds in the first. He produces consistently.

Brian Burns doesn't. How many times on 3rd in the Redzone does he have to fail for you to see it?

He isn't being doubled all game.

Maybe just maybe he should put his hand down and get in a jet stance on 3rd phucking down and not stand up?

Burns has had single coverage all day.

    • Toxicity meaning that you yourself were engaging in personal attacks and poo posting, so the most unstable users felt empowered to do the same. Considering that you're bitching less, it's no surprise they're following suit. The discord was also formed loooong before you shitted things up here. You should give it a shot, you might learn something about football.
    • I was a bit surprised too.  Smith-Wade at nickel is probably not the answer, but he would be good depth.  At the end of the season, they played Bartholomew and Evans, and both were decent. That is their depth.  Looks like they brought in Mike Reid from SDSU and Corey Thornton from Louisville--giving him a big bonus to sign.  Do they have a S they plan to play nickel? About the draft: I liked the value for Ransom.  I think he is going to be a starter day 1. I liked the addition of a big, tall, in-line TE with good hands and decent speed.  Red Zone. I like the fact that they addressed WR, but I am not sure I would have taken Tet and I know I would not have taken Horn.  With the current roster, I would have taken a WR early and then added an UDFA later. I would not have drafted a RB in any round.  We have 2 good ones and can find a third holding a cardboard sign on the street corner.  We are 3 deep at RB and have zero depth at CB behind our injury-prone $100m man. With our current roster, I am not sure that I would have double dipped at Edge, unless they knew Clowney and maybe Johnson were gone.  Jones is meh and Wonnum is an 8-sack guy when healthy.  Scourton (and I was like "WTF?" has the ability to be a 10-sack guy.  Princely will be a designated pass rusher, I suppose.  Cam Jackson is a guy I just knew they would draft late; a good backup for Brown.
    • Kiper gave is a bad grade (c+).  He gave Cleveland an A+ which could’ve been predicted with Shedeur.  I think Cleveland actually did the best even without him though. This plus a first next draft is stellar  I will give the Panthers a B+…I liked our picks especially the way the draft fell to us
