He’s intriguing, but would be a guy that won’t really play until his 3rd year. He just needs a lot of work.

I don’t know if Tep and the fans are that patient.

I dunno about 3rd year. He might benefit from sitting a year, but Verge's comments lead me to believe that he isn't as raw as some of us thought (or still think I guess).

There’s zero reason for him to sit even a year if you are smart about the offense. Give him half field reads or he tucks it and runs. Let his legs put up yards and points while his passing game develops. Or who knows… maybe you realize NFL WRs would catch 65% of his passes and you don’t need to hold back as much anyway.

And get the man a big TE in FA and Gibbs at RB in the draft. Easy completions are a rookie QBs best friend

As I have said numerous times on here, at the bare minimum AR puts butts in seats and I think tepper understands this

Nobody cares about butts in seats. That's no reason to draft someone.

Especially a QB.

The only reason you draft a QB is if you honestly think you can win a Superbowl with him.

What does this even mean?

Well I explained it earlier then after watching him more I'm warming to the possibility.

What I don't want is a sub par passer.

I want a Mahomes Burrow Allen Rogers Brady level passer.

I would despise a Lamar Jackson Cam Newton Level passer.

Can he be elite level? I don't care if he ever runs one time for us.

    • I'm not saying he should be working in the NFL. He did deserve some criticism as DC there. But Kyle Shanahan certainly did use him as a convenient scapegoat. Now there is no one left to throw under the bus. Anyways he could find his way back to the league in some capacity who knows. But he's old school and in the NFL you either adjust or you get left behind. All the same no hard feelings toward him he's a good guy.
    • he has barely suited up for 50% of our games.  It matters pending how much of our cap and resources go that way.  If he cost in the ballpark of a Surtain? No thank you.  Let someone else  And as far we know what happens when we let talent walk away or trade them…..that’s a mixed bag.   should we of paid Norman, Bradberry at CB? They probably had earned the right to be called better than Horn at that moment of the decision.  Do we regret that? Do we regret Star walking? Can take it back to Spoon.  Flip side is probably Peppers.
    • We need to get better in the redzone. And yes that is an issue that involves all the moving parts. Oline receivers QB and playcalling. But Bryce himself has to lead the charge on that or surely we could face another blowout in one of these upcoming games. Every team no matter how good they are is going to face an opponent that imposes their will on them and requires the same in response. Those are the games where we have got to capitalize on drives. Honestly I get the sense that the Chiefs on some level overlooked us.  So while I am pleased we were as competitive as we were it certainly remains to be seen if this was the beginning for something new or just an anomaly. I think that's a perfectly fair take at this juncture.
