Grass could absorb some of that the way he was planting, under the turf is just concrete. The knee bent before the guy fell on him

You've seen that injury just as much on grass when someone gets rolled up on from behind.  All the studies have shown statistically there is basically no difference in the amount of injuries on turf vs grass.  All that said I still prefer grass.
