Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker has a torn left ACL and will miss the rest of the season, the school announced.

Sucks for the aged adult.  That makes his assessment even tougher honestly.  Hasn't shown enough pure QB skills but has shown enough to not be ignored.  He's anywhere from a 2nd to a 4th methinks.

Age for a qb is not an issue if they can play. That's would be a dumb reason to pass on a great qb. Not saying he is one but a couple of years older than his class is irrelevant.

Id assume he'd be taken in the 3rd -4th range. I wonder what his RAS would have been though

I'd have to argue it is if he's a developmental QB, and especially that combined with a mobile type.  A guy that will be 25 years old his rookie year needs to hit the ground running.  If not, you're banking on a guy being 26-27 by the time he gets going.  And being a mobile prospect, how long will that really last?  I guess he's no Weinke so there's that.

I would say he's a 4th to 5th rounder with the ACL. He would have been a late 1st or 2nd if healthy.

That sucks.  He was my 2nd round target if we somehow missed out on Stroud or Young.

Hooker probably was a day two QB at best from what I saw. He's not that now. It's likely going to be tough for him to get starter's traction now, but not impossible. Good luck with his surgery and rehab.
