PJ has sprain. Baker to start.

I feel pretty confident that the Panthers will start Sam Darnold at some point before seasons end.

They need to find out if Sam could be considered as a stating QB or a back up for them going forward  by putting his feet to the fire for what could turn out to be his final fling with the team.

For those worried about the future pick for Baker, I believe we are past the point where the higher pick would kick in. This is NFL Week 11 that we are heading into, and Baker only played the first 5 weeks. So with 7 games left even if he starts I don't believe he qualifies, I saw a breakdown that went into detail somewhere, but even still if he could the team would sit him if needed towards the end of the year.

I'd anticipate a Sam Darnold start or two in the final weeks with the guise of ''to see what we have''.

I'm worried about ever seen Mayfield play for the Panthers again. He's poo.

Strategic sprain.  We need to see if Mayfield and Darnold offer anything more now that we have an good OL.  Can't bank on the 'right' QB falls into our lap on draft day.  Contingency plans my man.

I am operating on the belief that Tepper would fire fitt on the spot if he even suggested bringing one of those guys back next year

As unquestioned starters?  Agree 100%.  As depth on a cheap 1-2 year deal?  I wouldn't mind the better of the two. That's why we have to see which one is worth keeping, we aren't keeping both.

You seem to have a lot of faith in Corral and some rookie QB who likely will not be Young nor Stroud.

    • I'm not saying he should be working in the NFL. He did deserve some criticism as DC there. But Kyle Shanahan certainly did use him as a convenient scapegoat. Now there is no one left to throw under the bus. Anyways he could find his way back to the league in some capacity who knows. But he's old school and in the NFL you either adjust or you get left behind. All the same no hard feelings toward him he's a good guy.
    • he has barely suited up for 50% of our games.  It matters pending how much of our cap and resources go that way.  If he cost in the ballpark of a Surtain? No thank you.  Let someone else  And as far we know what happens when we let talent walk away or trade them…..that’s a mixed bag.   should we of paid Norman, Bradberry at CB? They probably had earned the right to be called better than Horn at that moment of the decision.  Do we regret that? Do we regret Star walking? Can take it back to Spoon.  Flip side is probably Peppers.
    • We need to get better in the redzone. And yes that is an issue that involves all the moving parts. Oline receivers QB and playcalling. But Bryce himself has to lead the charge on that or surely we could face another blowout in one of these upcoming games. Every team no matter how good they are is going to face an opponent that imposes their will on them and requires the same in response. Those are the games where we have got to capitalize on drives. Honestly I get the sense that the Chiefs on some level overlooked us.  So while I am pleased we were as competitive as we were it certainly remains to be seen if this was the beginning for something new or just an anomaly. I think that's a perfectly fair take at this juncture.
