In a three team tie you don’t just eliminate one of the teams, you look at the head to head record among all three teams.

New Orleans would be 3-1 (one loss to the Panthers)

Panthers would be 2-2

Falcons would be 1-3

So yes, the Falcons are mathematically eliminated but they can actually help the Saints if they win their remaining two games and create a three way tie.

Division titles take into account the records all 4 teams. It doesn’t matter if the bucs end up with only 6 wins or the falcons with 7. 
 

we already own the tie breaker
