You're a jerk :D

I gotta admit, right now as a prospect I like Harbaugh a lot more than I do someone like Zimmer. Oddly enough I'm finding myself a lot more into Hue Jackson once I took a look at him than I figured I would.

At any rate, two things might stand in the way of the Weis thing. Fox's short term contract, and the fact that bringing him in means firing a guy he thinks a lot of - Jeff Davidson. There's realistically no room to move Davidson around to, unless you fire Scherer (himself a guy Davidson trusts), and that's putting Weis in as an assistant head coach and QBs coach (possibly even with the title I despise, Passing Game Coordinator).

It would take a lot of finagling to do that. And the team already has an assistant head coach in Skipper. I don't see Weis suddenly getting coldhearted and having the one guy on the Pats staff he really associated with (aside from old QBs coach Dick Rehbein, who died) fired for his own benefit. It's actually much more likely that wherever Weis went, he lobbied for Davidson on staff.

Truthfully, getting Weis on board with a team as a coach could have significant pull. He and Romeo Crennel both being available as of 2010 creates a very interesting situation for a young coach able to pull them both, but I'm fairly certain the Pats' coaching tree is stripped significantly thin to the point where there isn't one guy who could pull both. Crennel would actually be a hell of a DC candidate, but we're not a good team for the 3-4 right now.
