We are going to be picking in the top 8 indefinitely until we hit on a QB. Might as well start the process now.

A QB who could take a beating was important when the o-line was paper mache. We need someone who can pass and this dude has elite accuracy.

I can talk myself into Stroud at some level. I do prefer Young, though. Even though he's the size the Gramatica Bros., his skill level is elite.

Exactly, we are making strides in o-line consistency for the first time since the early 2000s. As long as he doesn't come in there at 5'9", I wouldn't be opposed. I'd rather take him and he explode into thin air from a hit than take Will Levis.

McShay says he is 5'10'' and recently weighed 186.  But at the combine, it is possible he is 5'9''...won't be an easy choice, but if he's there and our new staff says take him, I won't say a word...everyone knows his size is a concern, and everyone knows you ain't winning till you get a QB.

My current opinion is I’m fine with Young in the 1st, or one of the top 3 DL and trading back into the 1st for boom/bust Richardson/Levis. Lamar Jackson end of the 1st range. 
 

If Young was Stroud’s size, I think he would get the “generational talent” label attached to him.

If we took Young though, we would have two rookie QB’s (Corral) who’s primary concern is frame durability. 
 

It does feel good that we are committed to using resources on the o-line though. That eases my mind towards smaller or thinner QB’s.

I think when/if he measures that small and if he runs a slow 40 (this has him at 4.8 https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/bryce-young/ ) he is going to be in free fall
