Drury, Kochetov Recalled From Chicago: General Manager Don Waddell announced a pair of transactions for the club in their two days since their contest against Toronto, bringing up forward Jack Drury and goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov from Chicago (AHL).

Since October 13, when forward Ondrej Kase was placed into concussion protocol, the Canes have had a roster that's included zero healthy extra forwards. But now with three of the team's next four games coming on the road, including a trip out to Denver, the team felt it was time to add an extra body up front. "I'm not sure if he's going to get in right away, but we need to have that extra body," Rod Brind'Amour said following Tuesday's skate at Invisalign Arena. "He's the top forward [in Chicago]" the head coach continued. "I know he hasn't put up points, but that doesn't really mean anything. It was an easy choice."

Drury has produced one goal and two assists through eight games this season with the Wolves. After the recalling up the team's 2018 second round pick on Monday, the team followed that up with the recalling of their 2019 second round pick the next day.

Pyotr Kochetkov joined the team in Florida ahead of tonight's contest on an emergency basis after goaltender Frederik Andersen left Tuesday's practice early. Immediately after practice Brind'Amour said, "I don't know what happened there. I'll go in and check on him, but I don't know. He did something." Hours later it was made official that Kochetkov would be joining Raanta for at least tonight's contest.

Naughty By Necas: Although his career-long six-game point streak came to a halt on Sunday, Martin Necas enters Wednesday's play tied for 10th among all NHL skaters with his 17 points. Already with five multi-point games to his name, #88 has only not registered in two of the team's 12 games this season.

Streaking Svech: Forward Andrei Svechnikov, who enters tonight tied for ninth league-wide with his eight goals, also has a point in four straight games.

Injury Report: Forward Ondrej Kase has been in concussion protocol since October 13. Goaltender Frederik Andersen left practice early on Tuesday due to an undisclosed injury.

On The Other Side: Florida has started their time under Paul Maurice 7-5-1. Forward Matthew Tkachuk leads the way with 17 points in 12 games, however, he won't be on the ice tonight as he serves the second game of his two-game suspension. Former Hurricane Eric Staal remains in search of his first point after being inked to a one-year deal in late October.

Carolina is favored tonite on the road and Florida is starting Spencer Knight (4-1-0) in goal. Obviously, Raanta is starting for the Canes.
