They brought in Corral last year for a visit, and they're definitely going to lose Minshew in FA. Why they'd be concerned about a 1st round QB I dunno

Since they already have a QB, they want to know if teams picking before them would take QB’s, because that would mean more top talent at other positions would be available.

I think his likely ceiling is about the 15th or 16th best QB.

The guy can't throw.

His completion % is on par with Allen's his final year at Wyoming.  He may be able to get it higher as he has been playing better lately.  Allen has worse weapons, but played against weaker competition.  I know he is an outlier, but when you are talking about absolute ceiling, Allen has to come in mind for best case scenario.

I'm sure they're hoping they can grab one of those D-line guys, but Ringo or one of the WR's wouldn't be bad for them either. Crazy they can potentially be deep in the playoffs and also have the #6 pick in the draft from the Saints

Good time to be an Eagles fan for sure.

He has 9td and 7int and only completing 55%   the odds are long on him.

"Next Class" Syndrome. The NBA draft was famous for this. Small sample size gets everyone excited then you see the rest of the career and the stock starts falling if there isn't big improvements.

The fact that Richardson was/is getting hype on almost nothing is a classic example.

Around this time last year, people were creaming, and I mean creaming over a stacked class with Van Dyke, Richardson, Young, Levis, & Stroud.  Fast-forward, now here we are, they're all nitpicked to death and everyone hates all prospects.  And many things evolve over the course of a season, some don't look as good as teased.

Just check out 2023 mocks in the Nov 2021-May 2022 range.  Van Dyke and Richardson were all the rage.

Rewind another year it was Rattler, Howell, & Strong that were all going to be legit.  Not to mention our very own Cade Mays being a popular top-15ish selection in many mocks on the OL.

Maye & Caleb look fine, sure.  But it is a waste of breath pining for them with an entire 1.5 years of life happening until that possibility is even there.

Never fall, and I mean NEVER fall for next class syndrome.

Yeah Allen was 56% his last two years at Wyoming.  If you are looking at accuracy I can see some similarities.  The odds of him becoming another Allen are slim, but if you are looking at absolute ceiling, that name will come up.

Wonder who's generally more popular between this year's backups and next year's draft prospects.
