All You Can Do Is Laugh

We were supposed to lose today and people posting reaction threads show that you do still care 🥰

The main point of my post was to laugh at the incompetence of Tepper and Fit for turning down those packages. Our local hero getting boat raced is only the cherry on top.

The Carolina Panthers, who are a complete dumpster fire of a franchise, and well on their way to 2-7, turned down 3 1st round 1 2nd round draft picks for DJ Moore and Brian Burns. Brian Burns, who by the way has never had double digit sacks in his career and would struggle to stop me on the run. Not only should Scott Fitterer be fired, he should be arrested for such malpractice.

There were fans on here saying Steve Wilks should be given the job next season. If this man was born in Boise, Idaho there wouldnt be one person on here who would want him back next season. Being from Charlotte is not a resume booster and should hold zero value while deciding his fate. If this man is still the head coach more than 24 hours after the last game of the season, the NFL needs to open an investigation on David Tepper.

PJ Walker made one good throw and people were ready to crown him the 2023 starter and saying he would lead this team to the playoffs this year. Again, all you can do is laugh. There is more of an argument to be made that PJ shouldnt be on this roster next year than him to be the starter. Making the playoffs this year would have set this franchise back a minimum of 3 years. This division is garbage and the goal shouldnt be just to be the least pathetic of the 4. This team needs a real quarterback and real coach. Until that happens, this is what our Sundays will look like for the foreseeable future.

And again, both Fit and Tepper should be embarrassed of how they handled this deadline if those packages are true. Fit should not be the GM going into next season, but as we all know, David Tepper is allergic to making correct decisions. So I fully expect him back next season.

God you are so negative and ridiculous with fair weather undertones all over you. I have been leaning towards wanting Wilks hired but had absolutely NOTHING to do with him being from Charlotte as I could not care less where he is from. I liked how the team was trending upward with him. Yep, its been a poo game and everyone has played like poo. But you my friend are no expert with all the answers. You are a Monday morning arm chair QB who thinks he knows it all because he listens to a couple sports talk radio stations. Blah blah blah  if you are so sickened by everything under the sun just go support a new team. So everyone has had a poo game. I will still hold out judgement and see the entire rest of the season as a sample size before I watch a current game and say "Off with their heads" pertaining to everyone in the entire franchise. Classic overreacting blow it all up every second something does not go your way mindset. I bet you head for the exits with 3 minutes left if your team is behind and the other has the ball. Whine and cheese all the way. Congrats big mouth. I am convinced you are one of those fans who hope your team loses each week just so you can run your chubby pie eating mouth about them in every negative way possible while cracking on anyone who does not share 100% your absolute hatred for your own team. Go eat more potato chips and drink another beer tubby.

    • This is why it's probably going to be hard to trade down. This draft is fairly light on top tier talent but pretty deep in talent of that next tier down. I don't think there's going to be a lot of teams clamoring to move up and numerous teams might be entertaining moving down. Not a good market to trade down if that's the case.
    • And if they can't find a reasonable trade down (I think we would need a 2nd rounder this year bare minimum to make any trade down worth it). I would definitely expect Dan to trade UP for an EDGE or LB in the top half of R2. Just makes too much sense. We also have a plethora of mid round picks to use as ammo.
    • I don't mean to make this a mock draft thread particularly,  but every time I do a mock I have been investigating the talent that goes off the board between picks 8 and our low 2nd rounder pick 57. There is a gargantuan amount of talent still left on the board in the top half of the 2nd round every time I do one. Losing our original 2nd round pick to the Bears as the last pick of the Bryce trade stings badly .  I'm particularly looking at elite players like Carson Schwesinger (LB), Luther Burden (WR), Matthew Golden (WR), Maxwell Hairston (CB) , Nick Scourton , Landon Jackson, Donavan Ezeraku (all DEs/OLBs) . The sweet spot in this draft really feels like pick 15 to 40 - ish. This is why the Bears should be making bank with this draft. I don't know how realistic a trade down is from 8, but if we could pick up any teams higher 2nd rounder and still grab their 1st? We'd be cooking with gas man.  Say for example we get Tet McMillan at pick 8, if you wait all the way to 57 you stand the chance of not getting any impact pass rushers in this draft. And I don't think this team can afford that.  I'd personally love for them to take a break from drafting wrs in R1 or R2 (i think we've taken one in the top 2 rounds in the majority of the past few years), and stick to repairing the nfls worse defense in history (in terms of total points against iirc, or was it yards? Also included my most recent mock as an example . Don't put too much into the  late round selections lol
