Quinten Johnston in the 1st, then Max Duggan in the 2nd.

Quinten Johnston is a 6’4 WR that runs a 4.4 and is drawing comparisons to Calvin Johnson lite, runs great routes, plays to his size and is considered a bonafide first rounder. Him paired with DJ Moore would go together like Peanut butter and chocolate, they would compliment each other perfectly plus finally giving us that big bodied red zone target we haven’t had since Olsen or even Benjamin (during his 1000 yd season that is)

But here is where it gets interesting. His QB is Max Duggan and they both play for TCU. Duggan has the size and intangibles, he plays for the same college that Andy Dalton played for (for those of you that keep saying “such and such colleges don’t produce good QBs though”.)  And he would be drafted along side his no 1 target WR and teammate in college Quinten Johnston where they already have great chemistry together and played together already for multiple seasons.

Not only that but Duggan has improved in all categories that matter year after and has put up great numbers, he is pretty much a slightly younger Hendon Hooker with more upside.. see his stats below.

Marvin Harrison Jr. in the first. He's the son of a Hall of Famer and has been footballing since he was in the womb. He's more physically imposing than his dad and is just as polished which shouldn't really come as a surprise to anyone.

Grayson McCall in the second. He's been consistently great, breaking Tua's passer efficiency record with a 207 rating, or 217, in 2021. He's thrown 70 touchdowns to 6 interceptions in his career. He's mobile, he's 6'3, he's accurate and precise, he's local, give me McCall.

Just because dudes are at P5's doesn't make them better, give them a higher ceiling, or make them more prepared to play than a guy like Grayson McCall who truly is one of the best QB's in the country.

Marvin Harrison Jr isn't eligible until 2024. He is the best WR in college though.

He does NFL things. Off platform. Improvisation. Natural feel in the pocket. Consistent accuracy.

He’s better value in the 2nd that any QB in the first unless Bryce has a growth spurt in him.

Lord. Please quit with the Max Duggan hype. He's a JAG if I've ever seen one, and I don't mean he's headed for Jacksonville. 2nd round QBs rarely pan (do some research; it's probably the worst round to draft a QB in that you have any hope of actually starting one day) and I'm not even sure Duggan ends up going that high anyway. The hype surrounding Duggan reminds me of all those people who wanted us to take Carson "UDFA" Strong in the 1st round last draft.

I do like Quinten Johnston, though.

If we didn't already have Matt Corral, I would be all in on Max Duggan. Dude can play. If he can be coached up to handle pressure better, folks would be talking about him in the same breath as Stroud. He's got a laser for an arm and has a second gear that he hits on the run. Plays with confidence as well. But... after all of the games that I've watched, it's clear that Matt Corral would be one of the top prospects this year if he had stayed at Ole Miss.

I am, however, all in on Quenton Johnston.
