Panthers QB Moore feels better prepared to lead the Panthers this time around

“In '07 everything was real quick for me,” Moore said. “My first read, if that wasn't there I'd go to my second read and get the ball out, whether that be throw it way or hitting somebody. I think now I've kind of developed and learned in most instances you have some time. Work through, find your running back, go to your fourth read, things like that. Whereas earlier, not a panic, but wanting to get the ball out quick as far as passing. I think that obviously comes with time.”

He also said he’s picked up on the tempo of the game.

“Being around it for three years now you get a feel for how the game works and how the game rolls along,” he said.

I want to see Moore play well. I want to see him throw 4 TDs. Imagine this guy going out on Sunday and having a big game. It would be eerily similar to whats going on in Nashville. This is the opportunity he and his supporters have been waiting on. Its up to him to SHINE. It'll be interesting to see how the next 2 weeks are gonna go in Pantherland.

Supportive statements from Jake and Moose in the Observer...

"He's going to do a great job, and I'm going to be 100 percent in his corner," said Delhomme. "In our (quarterbacks' meeting) room, guys truly do care for each other. You don't put the work you put in and want somebody to fail. We're all behind him. I promise you everybody is 100 percent behind him and ready to go."

Other players interviewed made it clear they expect Moore to start.

"He's preparing to play well, and I think he will," tight end Jeff King said of Moore.

"I don't think it's going to be that much of a change," tight end Gary Barnidge said of the transition from Delhomme to Moore.

Wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad said starting is a great opportunity for Moore, but also gives the team the chance "to kind of rally around him and support him."

"Obviously, we won't do a lot of the things that Jake does well, but we'll do the things that Matt does well and that Matt likes," said Muhammad.

All signs point to Moore as QB

And from Fox in the Herald...

“I think he is more ready than he was the last time he went in,” Fox said. “He's got a good grasp of the offense. Like I said before, he's got all of the abilities. That's been true of a lot of people at the quarterback position. He's got the right attitude, and I know we'll get his best effort.”

Moore could get another opportunity Sunday

This is the kind of thing I like to hear.

A quick start will help. Let's hope he doesn't struggle early.

Best case would be for him to hit a couple of receivers early for nice gains and open up the running game. It so it will be a good day.

I will be there and am excited for a change.
