I would ask him how it is going and whether he wants a beer.

He doesn't need my thanks or praise. If he did ask me my opinion I would tell him life is long and wish him good luck in the future. I would suggest that regardless of this season, he isn't necessarily done here or elsewhere. I would suggest that he wasn't the first quarterback to make a comeback after having a bad year following surgery and injury. I would let him know that most of us appreciate him as a man and Panther on and off the field. I would compliment him on supporting Moore now and wishing him well and not feeling bitter or angry toward the extreme negative reaction he has received particularly from fans. I would say that one of the things that has made him a excellent role model for the team is his willingness to shoulder the blame whether deserved or otherwise and not throw others under the bus even as fans have done the same to him.

But I doubt I would need to say any of that as if I or anyone else's opinion matters that much to him. His players support him and in the end for a quarterback that is all that matters win or lose.

probably just ask him how the hand is.....maybe ask about how his horses are doing and if he has had any luck there. As a fan, I yell at the TV and bitch on message boards....he gives it 100% on the field and I think we all know that.....I have no room to comment about his play and what he should/is going to do in regards to playing.

But seriously, I would tell him thanks for the memories & taking us to our first Superbowl along with the others in less than 10 yrs. after JR created the franchise. And of course, thanking him for some of the best 4th Quarter comeback in history that I will never forget as a Panthers fan.
