Sorry, don’t get your point

Carolina plays Wake next week in Winston. If Wake beats NCSU then it’ll set up a Top 20 showdown next week which would be a huge resume boost for Carolina.

Of course an NCSU win could potentially set up a top 20 matchup later in the season but winning a top 20 game on the road would carry more weight.

True, you said a win against Notre Dame and that would be a good loss for UNC

Nevermind…got it now.  You are talking about ND win tonight…all good

Seriously it is going to be really tough for Carolina to make the playoff but that it is even discussed is awesome

A Clemson loss would hurt us more in a potential Championship matchup. That’s only my opinion though…

It’s going to be really hard, two SEC teams will get in (I think) along with OSU or Michigan then it’s a toss up between the ACC, Big 12, and Pac 12 champion.

Notre Dame finishes with USC which could be another huge win for them

That’s true, Carolina would probably garner more points for handing Clemson their only loss.

The problem is that the ACC would outright cheat for an undefeated Clemson team in the ACC CG. The financial incentives for getting a team in the playoffs is HUGE. Remember the phantom offsides call? Yeah...

    • Yep. Happens to a lot of talented kids. I just think a lot of people don't understand that just because this kid is super talented doesn't mean he's going to make it to the pros. Most of them won't. Some will get injured. Some will run into trouble off the court/field. Some won't put in the work. The catering greatly increases the odds of the latter two. Then most will simply just not be good enough to make it to the pros. Either way, it all adds up to a long shot and the kids need to have solid plan Bs. A few years back my HS had the #1 RB recruit on the nation. He originally committed to UGA but flipped to Bama and was getting decent playing time as a true freshman before obliterating his ankle. He was never the same again after that. Never made it to the pros. Not sure what happened to him but evidently he wasn't the brightest bulb and was basically just getting passed through school to stay academically eligible. I don't think he was a bad kid, never really heard anything like that. He just wasn't all that bright and all the eggs were in the football basket.
    • Our current hand is to pick up his fifth year option and then we have up to two more years to work on developing him and evaluating him.
    • That's just our current hand, its unfortunate. No easy solution and damned if you, damned if you don't.  Signing each is less wrong... Just wait until BY is up for a contract..... horn and icky will be nothing and each is super nerve wrecking...
