We've talked about having a veteran in place next year as a placeholder to help a rookie get adjusted.

It's not out of the realm of possibility that veteran could be Baker.

The formula is complicated. No, I don't think we'd get a 3rd though. It has to do with salary, playing time, post season awards, etc. That stuff isn't determined until the end of the following year before the draft. And if we sign a similar caliber player, it will offset the comp pick. If Baker is on a new team and is a pro bowler next year, then we might get a 3rd. There is also a limited number of comp picks each year league wide.
