What’s your 2023 QB big board (including Corral)

They both couldn't throw.

Vick couldn't hit the ocean from the beach.

But he was elite. That phucking dive from what seemed like the 10yd line to score against us sure pissed me off.

I don't want a QB that can't make the big time throws in big time situations.

And you can't lump every QB that can somewhat throw and somewhat run all together its too broad.

Guys like Mahomes Staubach Young are in a separate class.

I want someone that can throw the ball like Mahomes, Brady, Allen Moon etc.

I don't care if he ever runs. If the other 10 guys do their job he shouldn't ever have to.

Dual means you can do both… not that you need one to do the other… A QB that depends on running in order to throw does not exist in the NFL (and this is apparently your incorrect definition of the word dual).

It’s fine that you want someone that can throw the ball, I’d also like a QB that can complete passes.

But as another poster pointed out… having the ability to also take off and run gives you an added edge.

Defenses sometimes lock up receivers… it happens, sometimes the defense is better. Having a guy that can take off and run in that scenario can turn a throwaway into a 10 yard scamper.

Not you, CatsFan. Saying that a dual threat QB is a QB that has to run in order to throw… whatever that means.

It means that they are neither an elite runner or elite passer.

They are very good to average at both skills.

Allen isn’t an elite runner as a QB Vick and Lamar are. Cam wasn't an elite runner either buy he was very good. (He was elite when you needed 5 yds or less)

Allen is an elite passer. Lamar is damn near an elite passer Mahomes is an elite passer.

From what I've seen today Richardson is a terrible passer.

You will never win it all without the arm.

Okay that makes sense to me, and I agree, I’m not a fan of Richardson either. It would be in his best interest to return to college.

He has to run in order to win not throw.

A dual threat can not win consistently solely from the pocket.

Mahomes can Allen can Lamar can Watson can Burrow can.

Dual threat just means they can beat you with their arm or legs, hence the word “dual.” To say Josh Allen isn’t that is absurd I don’t care what “definition” people are pulling out their ass. My opinion is we have these “traditionalist” fans that want the classic pocket passer (even though plenty of old QBs were dual threat) and they don’t want Allen lumped into that category because the Bills are Super Bowl favorites. They don’t want Mahomes lumped in because he has won one already same with Russ.

Allen is absolutely a dual threat.

Honestly, if you've watched a Bills game this year, you'll see why some folks complain that he's being used as a runner too much.

This draft doesn't have a clear #1 QB. Like last year there is a lot of distortion.

Levis had a better OC last season, no question. Is that what's really up this year or is it being in the radar and needing to adjust or not?

Stroud did good today, got rolling. The open receiver stat scares the heck out of me. Frontrunner theory overshadows both him and Young. Just can't get past it.

Although Matt Corral came out and said he regretted not going to a frontrunner program I respect that, underdog theory.

Will Levis is falling fast for me, especially after tonight’s game going against Hooker. If Hooker plays well and beats Georgia next week, he just might be the first overall pick this year, age he damned.

The 2023 QB narrative is wearing off pretty fast. The 2021-22 "busts" looked better than everyone but Young and Hooker at this point in the season. Tankers need to get over it and hope we get Wilks to continue to get the team motivated and the culture back to where it used to be

He was trailing but his RB had a great run and the defense gave him a short field AGAIN for a score that pretty much put Penn St. away.

He had some nice throws including a over the shoulder pass that was right on the money outside of that most of them were wide open any QB could have made those completion.

I really think it is going to come down to our scout team review of these QBs.  Fitterer and Morgan are going to have to weed through the hype and see who the best of the group is.
