Chinn is 6'3" and 220. He is a big safety. He let's us play a nickel defense without giving up too much in the run game. In our defense both safeties have to be good against the run and the pass. With all the blitz packages both safeties will get opportunities to blitz and well as provide zone support. You need thumpers all over the field who make receivers get alligator arms.

it does not fuging matter what he does at FS, he is a playmaker that needs to be close to the ball and he will have the most impact, closer to LOS…probably even an all pro - whether it you simply put him at SS or OLB whatever. Luke was decent at OLB but it was fuging stupid to ever take him away from MLB.

That’s the point….keep Chinn at his natural SS position.

No this would not be a good idea. He surely isn't an OLB and Woods is a better SS. Chinn needs to play FS and do his best Ed Reed, Steve Atwood, Brian Dawkins imitation.  He is an awesome intimidator in the secondary and can come up and make plays all over the field. You can put him at linebacker and he is undersized and likely to be hurt or you can put him at safety where he is bigger and more dominant and can cover bigger receivers

Saying the same thing over and over doesn't make you right.
