Just a bit of context/comparison this morn':

Jaguars receive a conditional 2023 6th rounder from the Jets that could become a 5th for Robinson.

Has 2,200 rushing yards, 600 rec, 22 overall touchdowns in under 2.5 seasons in the league.  24 years old. Not a highly touted prospect, but it just comes to show how the non-stars yet highly respectable guys at this position are viewed.

Robinson - 6th (Potential 5th), 1 total pick

CMC - 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 4 picks

Fitt fleeced the 49ers

The trade didn't "clear" much at all.  It moved the money to "dead cap".  We added 30 million to deadcap.

If you are going to talk about cap space to defend the CMC trade, you are scraping bottom.

Sure I can. We eat it in one lump sum and aren’t hurting our cap in 2024 and 2025 with it. That’s the name of the game right now. Take our lump this year from all these shitty contracts and be done with them after than. The picks obviously help with our future as well.

I liked CMC on this team as much as the next, but the idea he's a ''receiver'' is a bit overblown, he may have receiver quality hands and ability in the short to intermediate area, but he's not splitting out wide versus the best corners in the league cooking.

He played HB in college and was drafted as one for a reason, he has a hell of a tool box, with a little more power than you 'd expect.

But he's not a receiver, slants, screens, option routes, texas, wheels etc. are his bread and butter, with the occasional HB seam.

Now to be fair, maybe Shanahan uses him more at the LOS, we will see which I think he'll fair well at underneath.

We lost out on some offensive versatility with him due to injuries, and bland coordinators the last few years.

We have had some of the most boring offenses in football the last 3 years and Turner wasn't exactly an offensive mastermind. Depending on what Shanahan does with him that offense, he could be ridiculous.
