Tank to SB Champion

In the last 20 years, there have been only 2 QBs that the SB champion tanked for:  both Mannings.

All of the other QBs were either FA, traded for, traded up for, or found outside the top 5 in the draft.

Finding your QB via FA is not the "wrong way" anymore than drafting your QB in the top 5.

If we bring in another unaccomplished FA QB some other team doesn't want, then I'm not watching that season. None of it.

W3lp..Good news is.... in 2026 Arch Manning will be draft eligible. But my guess is if we had the #1 pick he'd stay in school another year.

There is absolutely a 0% chance Tepper signs off on getting another FA qb. We are 100% going after one of the top guys in this draft.

There are many comments saying our current tank for QB is us finally doing it right.

What I get from that is 16 of those teams (17 if you count Wentz) won a Super Bowl with a QB they drafted.  My excitement isn’t over the tank it’s that we don’t have to sit here with a failed retread at QB for yet another year.  The “tank” discussion is just more centered around having the ability for the new staff to pick their favorite QB.

So did we tank the year before we got Cam? No we was just that horrible but we draft a franchise quarterback who eventually took us to a Super Bowl.
