Yes but Crosby can play the run and wasn't a 1st rd pick.

You guys way overvalue the guy

Who cares what pick he was at this point it’s about production. Crosby is going to want to get paid too. Why do you think Burns is so bad against the run? Teams aren’t crushing us on the ground running his direction. Also keep in mind Burns was being coached by Snow who has been dropping him into coverage on 3rd and long. That’s a prime sack situation.

Top 10 over the past 3 years at age 26 sounds excellent to me.

Look at those numbers again he's not even close to the guys ahead of him and on a sack per game basis there's multiple guys below him on the list that are more productive.

.9 sacks per game is where I need him to be.

Buy he's probably at .5 sacks per game which lots of guys can do

Top 10 at 24. That list includes HoF guys line Donald that aren’t even edge rushers. You don’t think top 10 in the NFL is great? I do like how you claim we are overvaluing a guy after you cried we didn’t get enough from trading our always injured overpaid RB.

I am going to take a step back and realize something…

I am not your therapist here but you seem to be looking at things as all perfect or all terrible.  There are people that can help you realize that there are different layers to the cake,  they are all good.  Try that please

First of all Cmac is the best in the league at his position. There is no RB I would trade him for straight up.

Burns isn't close to the best at his position.

That's a huge difference.

And Cmac wasn't oft injured.

If we would have been a playoff team he would have come back and played both those seasons. It was a hammy and an ankle FFS.

The man had 4000 yards from scrimmage in 2 years. We will never get that production from a non QB again.

We can find tons of guys that get 9 sacks a year.

Burns is solid. He needs to make a huge leap.

Most elite guys are already putting up elite numbers at this point in their careers.

I'm sorry you can't see the truth.

If another team offered 2 first…granted I don’t know…but that says a lot.  Forget numbers seriously…Burns is our best player by a mile.  He is all over the field making plays.  Respect man

    • There's much of nothing coming out this time of year, but here's a vid that I believe that many fans need to internalize because it speaks to expectations for the 2024 season.    There's nothing really new, but I'd like to point out that one of the few things that I personally learned is that D.J. Wonnum's contract is only guaranteed to the tune of 10 percent. The analyst in the vid is a Vikings guy, and he has seen all of  Wonnum's plays. He says that Wonnum disappears for big stretches, and of course, as a Panthers guy, I couldn't help but think of Brian Burns' disappearing act for stretches as well.  To paraphrase and kind of give my two cents, Panthers fans should be somewhat optimistic about all of the potential on offense (but not crazily so), and be somewhat worried about the pass rush and defensive backfield. We're thin at both, but hopefully we can at least be competitive based on the offensive side of the ball. This is not to say that we won't be better on defense, but being so thin at rush and on the back end, we will be lucky to substantially improve.  One more note is that I believe he's somewhat of a Young apologist, as he didn't really mention Bryce's bad play specifically, taking the position that we just don't know what we have in Young based upon the sh¡t show in 2023.  I could argue the point, but what's the point? We'll have to see what Bryce has got when surrounded by much-improved talent and coaching. Check the vid out; it isn't so long, and though there are multiple reasons to be skeptical about the defensive personnel, last year produced a couple of stats that should indicate that Ej knows what he's doing. Like the analyst said, we'll hopefully do for the defense in the 2025 off-season, what we did for the offense this off-season.
    • seems like Necas is acting like a pestilent spoiled brat, we have to sign Drury and this is gumming up the works - also looks like we now have to trade Necas for draft picks or fingers crossed get out of KK's salary
    • Was talking about Necas going to Arbitration. Jarvis expected deal is around 6.75x7 unless they do a bridge deal for like 2X5 or so.    so if Jarvis signs his expected deal that leaves around 4m for Drury and Necas.
