That's not how grading works.

QB mobility has exactly zero impact on pressure stats.  That's the OLine sticking a hat on a hat and doing their job.  Yes, our QB's are running a lot. 

That isn't because the line is failing most of the time, which is exactly what these stats are saying.  On nearly 4 of 5 passing plays, our QB isn't pressured at all.  Which is not to say they aren't leaving the pocket.  What it says is that there is no reason for them to leave the pocket.

Now of course it's possible no one is open.  And there are tons of reasons why that can happen.  Maybe the QB isn't making the right reads.  Tons of reasons there.  But our line is generally doing it's job, which is a massive improvement over the last couple years.

Another 3rd down sack on PJ vs Bucs on a decent offensive drive. My point is about situational poor line play when it matters or is an obvious passing down, when they don't need to guard the flat against the screen (thanks McAdoo). 

Rewatch the snaps and you'll see situational Oline breakdowns have killed drives as much as drops, deflections (also an Oline issue), or miscommunication/routes/overthrows between QBs and receivers.

I don’t think our line is as big as a strength as everyone thinks it is. it’s definitely better than last year but I don’t think it’s a top ten line.

I think he is right. The scheme's only benefit is that with quick passes, drops and deflections, that doesn't show up as a pressure stat. Factor that with how few offensive snaps the offensive has taken this season, short passes and emphasis on runs, and it inflates their numbers. 

They are clearly better than last season by a margin, but top 6? top 10? Not situationally and when a drive is on the line. 

I'd like to see the stats on pressures/sacks on third and obvious passing downs.

The 2nd column is also affected by the scheme we run as well, which as we all know is not very good but the o line is drastically better than last years. I'm sure we were 32/32 across the board on those rankings last year
