This is the list of a team thats rebuilding..something we are not.Yes we need some upgrades.But this teams has talent and with a few players this is a SB caliber team.

you don't think we need upgrades at all of those? which ones would you take off the list?

The 2 bad decisions made in the off-season was to extend Jake and franchise Peppers. These moves made it impossible to add depth to key positions. Jake had 1 year left on his contract and we needed depth at DL, OL, and DB. Jake, however, has been real bad this year and his career has come to an end. The coaching staff has sucked also, what if Moore comes in and wins out? Would that mean Fox stays around with a 9-7 record or be fired because we could have finished 11-5 after going 0-3. For this team to improve next year we have to: Hire a new coaching staff, find a serviceable QB, let Pep go and use that space to add depth.

Those of you saying we have a huge list of needs, then rattle off a list of almost every position in the game need to realise you don't need a Pro Bowler at every position. We went 12-4 last year, and now some of you are saying we are a terrible team.

Turnovers have been what has killed us this season, guess who has 20 or so of our turnovers. You guessed it, Delhomme. With a QB who protects the football we would have a much better record this year.

Our defense has looked really good at points, and really bad when we have turned the ball over 4 times in a game. Eliminate the QB turnovers, this is a playoff caliber team. Anyone who says otherwise shouldn't be a Panther fan because you have no idea what you're talking about.

i think what he is saying is that every team can improve at every level. that doesnt mean that every team is not capable of winning a superbowl.

alot of the things on that list have been good enough to win games... Jake however not so much. 21 turnovers in 11 games this year compared to 8 td passes... unacceptable for a veteran quarterback

I can think of 3 or 4 games that Delhomme basically handed the other team the win(Jets, Bills, eagles) and a couple others where we were in a position to win and Jake threw picks(dallas, first ATL game)

bottom line is there is talent on this team and with a competent quarterback,we could contend... when we are going to get that competent quarterback, however, is another story:(

we are a qb out of playoff contention, sb hell no. teams will continue to gash us until we get more than 2 tubs of lard in the middle of the dline. this defense was not that great last year, and without our run stuffer in kemo, we suck defending the run.

special teams, are, well, special as always.

i would love to see p. manning, brees or brady here and see what the offense could do. even without a run d worth a damn for years, the colts continued to push into the playoffs with an offense. we could do that if we had a qb. SB, well the colts D stepped up the year they won it. we would need a divine intervention at DT (on the order of jenks and haynesworth in their primes) for a SB after fixing the problem at QB.

We are not that far away from being a serious contender. I agree with the quarterback, perhaps a DE, a right guard, and depth at some positions. But honestly I think the biggest changes needed are with philosophy and some position coaches like Crossman. Players on most every team are talented. Getting the most out of who you have separate the good teams from the bad. We have struggled to get lots of production out of certain positions such as wide receiver for example. At some point it may be not the players we pick but our failure to develop them. Jarrett should be much further along than he is at this point.

#26 Run defense. Thats a much greater need than another receiver. We might have some decent receivers if we can throw it to them accurately. The run d cannot be fixed that easily.
