In the end, we traded CMC for what we paid for Darnold and Baker.  If the 9ers do well, we got less.

It will be a wash in the end. CMC wanted out and Fitterer got the best he could get for the team. Win/win for both parties.  Feelings are hurt, but it's part of the business when a star is stuck on a shitty team.

So if you switch charts  to the one most teams don't use and assume the 9ers miss the playoffs with 11 games of CMC, and you don't subtract a round for the out year as is the norm, we  made out like bandits.
